I was so excited to get my CPO BMW this January.. Until all the issues started rolling in.

My navigation went out and the whole head unit went out.
My electric system went out within having the car for two days.

The repair shop is now not willing to work on my vehicle unless they can replicate the problem. Which they can. I have multiple photos, etc

But for the repair shop to tell me they're not going to work on my vehicle?! Excuse me? This is just wrong.
And this is coming from the Service Department Manager, William Asero and his team.

Shame on you and shame on my service advisor for doing that. That is wrong and illegal. I bought the warranty, you fix it

    Horrible, horrible experience!

My advice is to stay away from BMW of San Diego. They'll take your money then when an issue occurs, they'll put the blame on a third party manufacturer, like, Apple.

Such a shame! I guess I'll take my business to another dealership that takes care of their customers.

Update as of 5:55 pm on 12-12-17

The service manager is putting the blame on Apple
For a common issue with the F30 series. It’s such a shame that they try to insult my intelligence telling me I don’t know how to use a Bluetooth system(Head tech) to my service advisor(Andrew Kim) telling me they won’t write up the car until they see it physically replicate. Which it did. And I have the notes in my write order saying they did replicate the problem which is why they wrote up the order.

So embarrassing for a corporation to act like this.

William, the update isn't with my phone. Verified by Apple and Verizon. Do you research, this is a common issue on your F30 models.

Instead of deflecting, let’s just be honest and say the truth. Your head teach replicated the problem and I have it in the write up order!

Don’t try and flip this onto Apple when it is in fact the vehicle I had purchased from you.

The BMW staff was so courteous and
knowledgeable! He added a twin turbo oil in my car and I was out of there in less than five minutes! Now that’s outstanding customer service!!! Thank you! 5 Stars Indeed!

This past Sunday on a regular trip to Trader Joe’s my emissions light came on. Of course I thought the worst of cases that could be wrong. First thing Monday morning I called to schedule service and they got me in the same day. My appointment was at 3:45pm but I showed up just over an hour early at 2:30pm. Even though I was early I was still seen within 5mins. No one wants anytype of vehicle problems but Andrew Kim was so helpful with everything. With his excellent communication skills and calmness I was at ease. Within minutes I was given a courtesy loaner till my car was seen. I’d like to really say Thank You to Andrew Kim for making this process so easy and stress-free. I was off with a loaner car almost an hour before my actual appointment! The very next day before 10AM, I received a call from Andrew that my car was repaired and ready to go. I’d like to really thank Andrew for making this experience enjoyable. This man exemplifies everything the BMW brand stands for! Once again thank you for all your help!

On July 2017, I traded in my existing 2011 BMW 3 Serioes coupe to a certified 2014 BMW 535D. This was subject to BMW complete check, certifies and was 50k miles clocked with extended warranty and full maintenance plan.
In 3 weeks after driving 500miles, while driving on 163N freeway at 70mph, the car dangerously comes to a halt and almost got hit by moving traffic. I managed to pull over.
I called up BMW immediately and they towed the car to BMW of sandiego. Trouble starts from here, the staff did not inform what was wrong with the vehicle and then after a week or two the car was "repaired" and given back to me with a $18000 bill, luckily covered under the maintenance plan.
2 weeks later after driving not more than 100miles, now I get a service engine light and BMW is not willing to look into the car and is asking for out right payment to do so.

This is very pathetic, I have a car which I paid over 30 grands whicj is certified and under warranty and the staff are extremely rude and do not want to rectify the problem in the car they sold. I am not sure what I need to do at this point and whom to complain.

Please be careful dealing with the terrible service here, hope someone reads this and reaches out.

Just turned in our lease. Good experience from start to finish. The lease return was much less painful then we expected. Alex in the lease return department was great.

Great hassle free, no pressure dealership! Wasn't intending on buying today, but it was the right car with the right price and the right sales person. Matt is amazing, he is knowledgeable and personable, he made the experience enjoyable. Financing final paper work is typically always a drag, but Marcos was easy going, offered the extra products once, no aggressive pushing. The dealership has a nice vibe, not pretentious, and doesn't make you feel like you need a shower afterwards. They took their time detailing the car, which I appreciated. If you want a BMW, this is the place to come.

Great experience. I stopped by for help pairing my phone. A BMW Genius figured out the issue right away. I don't remember his name nut he helped me with my 340 back in March. Everyone is always very nice to work with in service.

This BMW dealership is great if you need to drop off the car to get serviced they are super friendly and very accommodating with schedules. I like coming here because they will give you a loaner car very quickly and get you in and out as soon as possible.

Hal is amazing. We purchased a previously loved VW. Hal was honest, straight forward, and easy to work with. We had a few little things come up in the week after we bought the car and they were fixed quickly and at no cost or hassle to me. I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was. Would definitely buy another car from Hal & recommend him to my friends.

Terrible Customer Service! I made an online appointment to service my BMW. I called to reserve a courtesy car since I was told in the past I could reserve one because I need a bigger vehicle. When I called, I was transferred 4 times before I was able to speak to someone who would take the time out to help me. When I finally spoke to a representative, she told me that they do not allow reservations, which was different from what I was previously informed. On top of that, I was told I do not get a courtesy car for service, which is odd because I have always been offered one. There is a lot of misinformation here and the representatives don't seem to care enough for their clients. As a result, I was told I could rent a loaner car for $45. I will not be coming back. I am taking my BMW to another dealership who will value their clients and business.

Also, I've emailed a representative in the past and I never received a response. That's how professional they are at BMW of San Diego.

The staff is very friendly which is the only reason I gave them 2 stars. I drove 4 hrs to buy a car from them only to find out that the car belonged to a smoker and wreaked of cigarettes. Fortunately, they had a similar car in stock that suited my needs and we were able to make a deal. Unfortunately, they tried to sell me this car with damaged tires and with only one working key. They promised that they would provide me with a second key at a discounted rate, but that never happened, however they did swap out the tires for me. In addition, they completely failed to mention that my car was equipped with BMW assist and failed to properly inform me of the cars other technologies. I would not recommend buying a car from this dealership.

    Dream come true to nightmare

Please read full review to understand my situation.. Used BMW Dealer of Kearney Mesa 10 feet over from the actual dealer, gave my wife and I our first ever BMW experience. Matt and Jeff were awesome and made our visit highly enjoyable. We bought a 2015 M3 on 11/15/2016 and we have been more than happy with our purchase.

Good Experience: Before purchasing the car Matt and Jeff advised me that the bumper needed to be repainted due to road rash. I saw the car in person at the body shop as well. When I finally took the car home I noticed the front bumper paint was off from the whole car. Called the SA and he advised me to bring the car in and they will have the Body Shop repaint it. They gave me a loaner and I was off. This was good customer service..

Bad Experience: The bad experience isn't with the dealer, but the actually body shop. I was already mad at the Body Shop for messing up the paint job the first go around. They did correct the front bumper a little the second time around, but they left my a nasty over-spray throughout the whole car ( I didn't realize this until 3 days after the rain stopped). Since I like to detail my own cars, I was able to see the over-spray throughout the whole entire car. It was so bad I had to call my insurance company to file a claim. I hope this dealer learns from my experience and change the body shop. The body shop made my experience from amazing to irritated. Please pick your shops wisely if they are going to represent your company.

Again, I will buy my car again from both Matt and Jeff, but if the car I buy needs touch up. I will not purchase the car.
