Bring friends and have the cost split among everyone. The bill wasn't bad for a dinner despite going crazy on the menu with 7 people. Obviously, cost will drastically fluctuate with the number of people so keep that in mind.
As these are small dishes we were able to share and dine among a wide variety of food. The service was excellent and multiple rounds of orders came out quickly.

Pros: the small plates let you customize your meal to how hungry you are. The food is delicious and filling even if you are vegetarian. Inventive spices and pairings. The sangria is wonderful!

Cons: it can be very noisy inside and our group of 7 had trouble hearing at times. I've had a better ambiance when it's just two on a date. The servers are casual, perhaps a little too so for the price point. It is a little expensive and easy to rack up a big bill when you order plate by plate.

Only been once but it was pretty impressive. Had six tapas and three of the sauces were the same. The lack of variety would be disappointing even if the sauce was good, but it wasn't. Sausage was best dish we had. Croquettes were blah, meatballs were boring, fried artichokes were greasy and flavorless. Service was decent.

I've enjoyed Barcelona since moving to Indy a few years ago. The food is great and service always good. Last night I went with my sister and sat outside. When we were finished eating a homeless man approached us and asked if we had any left over food. All we had left was some garlic bread and goat cheese which we happily scooped into a cardboard container for him. What I assume is the manager came out after seeing this and apologized to which we said it was no problem. Then I saw him go speak to the man who was sitting to the side of the building at one of their out door tables. I assumed he was shoo-ing him away from the restaurant. We left the restaurant (my car still parked in front) and met a friend around the corner for an hour or so. When we came back to the car later, the homeless man was still sitting outside. He yelled over at us and said "hey! They made me more food! Can you believe that!?!?" Well done Barcelona! You just earned customers for life. ❤️

One of my favorite places in downtown. The tapas menu is the best in town. The atmosphere and the food never failed me down to have a good time and run endless conversation. It must be the tapas indeed. The drinks are great though. Prices within the acceptable range.

Good place to grab an Estrella beer (not easily find in Indy) or to snack on some tapas and margarita before you hit Mass ave or Fountain square.

This review is about Barcelona Tapas' disorganized,
    unprofessional management.
Mike, the GM, had set up an interview with me.
I was eager for this job, nervous, dressed up of course,
parked in what had to be Barcelona Tapas parking lot.
My dress clothes were a bit wet when I walked into Barcelona Tapas
because it was pouring rain, but aside from that I think I was presentable.

Eventually, finally, I talk with Michael (the Assistant General Manager who is running the show at this day and time), and Assistant General Manager Michael tells me that neither Mike nor Frank are ever here on this day at this time.
That's right. Mike--the GM who had set up my interview--was not there.
Frank--the owner--was not there (when I talked with Mike previously, he had even mentioned to me that Frank would be there as well I remember my conversation with Mike the week before, "if Frank says 'Yes' then you're definitely in." or words to that effect).

After waiting at least ten minutes for Michael (Assistant General Manager) to get to the bottom of this by phoning Mike GM, Mike told me, "He completely forget, but you can come back some time next week [and work for free for a couple hours to see how it goes]." (I'm not 100% certain that last part was what he meant, but in our conversation the previous week that's what Mike GM asked me to do for the first interview day, which I was okay with since he wanted to see how I would do).

No apology from Assistant GM Michael.
    He just relayed the message,
"He completely forgot, but you can come in next week some day if you want."

This really rubbed me the wrong way. In the rain I walked back to my car which was parked in the only lot that could've been Barcelona Tapas. A parking ticket on my windshield. Perfect.

Of course after this experience I'm never returning to Barcelona Tapas, and to be honest I'm now motivated to work at one of its competitors and actively promote other eateries and restaurants near me.

Great atmosphere. The service was timely and our server was very attentive. The dishes we tried were excellent. This was our first time at a Tapas style restaurant and we plan on going back for more very soon.

To borrow a phrase from another reviewer "a decent intro to Spanish food." Tapas Barcelona offers a wide variety of mostly authentic tapas in a quaint setting. Warning: the serving sizes are a little small relative to their price. Service is great.

Mostly authentic with a few shortcuts. Been there a few times. Had our first date there and now we have 3 kids, so something went right! Definitely a decent intro to Spanish food with nothing very risky on the menu. All of it tasty.

It is so easy to eat too much here! Fun atmosphere (love the bright decor and mosaic tables) and a huge selection of small plates. Lots of vegetarian options. Some dishes are better than others, but I haven't eaten anything bad here. Definitely a fun date spot!
