The tall thin manager is a joke. We just ordered food and my wife with food allergies merely asked for an entree plain with no sauce. The server noticed and apologized when it was brought out with the sauce. It was sent back and the manager brought it back about 2 minutes later and said “there ya go” with no apology and clearly having just wiped the sauce off.
If you’re looking for something good try Finch’s or Janko’s both A+. Malibu has continually struggled and this is the last straw. Never going there again. What a joke.

Elliott and staff were more than phenomenal in helping our sorority class celebrate our 40th anniversary. The special menu you created and the service provided was a high point of the week-end. Everyone raved about the food and the atmosphere was perfect for a celebration. The women of Alpha Kappa Alpha -Tau Chapter's 16 Signs of Excellence thank you! We won't wait another 40 years to return to Bloomington and when we do, we'll make sure to stop by. Well done! Thanks!

This place is perfect. Great atmosphere inside with live, light music most nights I've been. You may also sit outside on the cozy patio while the weather's still decent. Their menu offers endless options of delicious and well thought out meals. A very nice place to spend an evening at a very respectable price.

Really enjoyed the ambiance and the chicken was delicious. I heard that you will see Mark Cuban if you eat here but I never did. Huge disappointment :(

Snobs.
We stood outside from 5 to 530 when they opened. Then to be respectful i held the door for a party of 4 to be told they took the only table available. No offer to wait just sorry we cannot help you. Hey Jp i know u man. Fire this host staff. I wont be back.

I love Malibu Grill, every time! It's easily my favorite restaurant in Bloomington (and I love eating out).

Great food options at a decent price. The steaks are good - skip the medallions. The smoked fish appetizer is my absolute favorite - and you get a lot! The salmon salad is really good for a healthy/cheaper option. The crab soup is good (not sure if they still have it). Friends who got the spicy pizza said skip it - just that it wasn't anything special. Pasta dishes are decent. I've eaten there a lot and can't think of anything bad on the menu.

The drinks are good - a mix of traditional and somewhat creative cocktails. Atmosphere is spot on, and there's often live music on the grand piano. Really, a great destination for any reason: just a drink with friends, a romantic dinner for two, or a large group (I've had a group of 12 there for dinner, during graduation weekend, and it ran smoothly)!

The food is reliably solid but the bar service is angry and slow. Gave me the wrong bill and were rude when I asked to pay my own actual bill. Avoid for a pleasant night out.

The food has its moments but the menu is generally just overpriced dreck. The steak chimichurri was passable in many respects, but Wusabi Mashed Potatos? Pie wedges (wtf) of "rare" (overcooked, dry) tuna, Flavorless soubise. Speaks for itself. You can do better, even in Indiana.

Excellent food in an upscale but cozy decor. Service is friendly but can be sluggish. The crab cakes are good, but the crab bisque was divine. The pizza and pork chops were very good. The menu is a little limited but has a solid variety. Prices are steep but the food is very fancy. The kid options were limited but worked for us. Also they offer a $0.99 sundae for the kids that they really enjoyed.
