Food was above average but restrained from being remarkable. A good just base for brunch.

The sausage and gravy are super tasty, but everything else falls flat— especially the grits.

The carafe of Mimosas is a great buy for $30 considering it’s a whole bottle of brut with a splash of orange juice.

Service is super friendly.

Great service, our waitress was amazing. Very attentive and helpful in suggesting menu options. The meal was just as excellent, while I had requested the eggs to be cooked a little more thoroughly and they were not the meal was still delicious and I would definitely go back to try more menu options. Thank you offering to go coffee it was much needed!

I booked a wedding brunch at B. Matthews and worked with Tasha to coordinate the event. I could not have asked for a better experience and the event came off without a snag. The food was excellent and the guests were pleasantly surprised at the buffet menu offerings as the variety was unusual and awesome. Tasha also made recommendations for services outside the restaurant that were very well done. She was also helpful and flexible in procuring table setting, champagnes, wines, etc., that I wished to serve. The upstairs room was perfect for our occasion and the historical interior lent the perfect background for the flowers and candles all around. I fully recommend this venue and their service for any type event you might wish to host.

We are on vacation in Savannah all the way from New York. This is the best restaurant here after us being here for 1week. We absolutely loved the food. The manager was awesome and the staff never failed to impress. Loved it and leaving tomorrow but will be going back. Absolutely loved it!

Bliss!
The manager is down to earth and attentive. The staff were friendly and informed about the dishes and beverages they serve. The food and drinks were in a world all its own. Great flavors and hints of flavor. Truly a gem in the rough. My wife and I greatly enjoyed this place and must revisit a second time.

Had breakfast four days in a row and had great service, service and atmosphere. Tried four different meals, the quiche could have been better but the salmon hash was amazing. Definitely recommend it.

Happened upon this restaurant purely because we were looking for parking and ended up right in front, but are SO HAPPY WE DID!!! Not only were the Salmon BLT and the Arugula Salad both delicious, we also were treated to an awesome Official Tour Guide level breakdown of the best places to see nearby from our server Antonio. The restaurant itself was cute and was located conveniently close to a lot of great sites. I'll definitely be recommending this to anyone passing through Savannah

Great location but failed to impress. The Sunday brunch offerings looked appetizing on the plate but the French Toast was soggy and not thoroughly cooked. The mimosa was tiny and lackluster. Our table was askew because of the age of the building. The incline was so bad that things would slide across the table when bumped. Love the old building, but don't add a table where it can't be level. We ate upstairs. Staff was friendly. We were seated promptly.

Food was good. Was by myself and ate outside. My waiter Alex totally forget me and I told him and the manager Abby and them that he was getting no tip. Food was seemingly microwaved as it took so long. Scalding in the middle and cool and congealed on the top. They only said they were sorry. Taking them off my favorite places to eat in Savannah

Tasty brunch with a nice view. Wait staff was kind and accommodating. A nice menu provided breakfast and lunch options. Drink options were pricey for what was provided. Being located close to the river walk, gave entertainment during the decent sized wait time. Don't wander too far though, the text informing that the table was ready also stated it would be held for 5 min.

Had the turkey and apple sandwich here, it was good but there was a bit too much rosemary sauce on it. Sweet potatoes fries were amazing. The interior reminded me of New York, so cool! Our server was really friendly.

We ate there for breakfast this morning and we're very pleased! We were seated right away and our food came out quick. I had the fried green tomato Benedict and my husband had the Bay Street scramble. Both were excellent! For a drink I ordered the hot Irish coffee, let me suggest you NOT do the same unless you know you like them. I've never had one before and it tasted like cough syrup, I was very disappointed.

We arrived slightly before opening but were seated and offered a wine or cocktail. The waitress was knowledgeable about the wines. Both my friend and I had the onion soup. Delicious. I had the duck which was cooked to perfection. My friend's shrimp crepes were divine. The chocolate mousse was the best I've eaten. The restaurant was cute as well.

My husband and I came to Savannah for a quick weekend getaway. We are brunch at B.Matthews the second day we were here and received excellent service and the food was amazing. So good in fact that we decided to come back the next day. During our next visit we waiting 1.5 hrs to be seated after being told it was a 45 min wait. We received poor service after being seated, and our waitress acting as though we were bothering her irritating her when we asked for drink refills and such. My food was not hot and definitely not as we had received it the prior day. My husband and I are very easy to please and our first experience at this restaurant deserved 5 stars, however our second very poor experience deserved a two star rating.

My wife and I enjoyed some of the food, but waited 40 minutes for our food after it was ordered. With such a long wait, our expectations were that it would be time well invested. She had to send the ice cold shrimp & grits back and I had the wrong dish delivered to me. The shrimp & grits here are a snooze both freezing to the touch and heated up. We were told the best S&G in Savannah can be found here. Not today.
When I told our waitress I received the wrong plate she looked at me as if she didn't believe what I was saying. Very bizarre vibe. Her words were, "I'll check on that."What's there to check on? I ordered the fried green tomato eggs Benedict. I received a classic EB. The only consistent item we had was the breakfast potatoes.

Ultimately, I feel we were treated like we were less-than because neither of us were drinking so our waitress obviously wasn't as invested in our table. We both expected more.
