My husband and I were just passing by, headed to Mentone and wanted to grab a local beer, we happened upon Hops n' Haze and are so lucky we did! The customer service was great, atmosphere was relaxing and local, beer was refreshing and food hit the spot! So happy we stopped!

The wait staff here is very friendly and caring about the customers' satisfaction. Although I do not drink that often my boyfriend enjoys the great selection of craft beers! The food is very good and there is a large variety of menu items to choose from. I highly recommend this place to any one looking to grab a brew and a bite.

This was by far the worst experience I have had at a bar/resturaunt/event in many years. First, I am a very easy going person and I hope that you can take this as constructive feedback and not as a complaint. This is going to be rather long but I want you to understand the full story.

We arrived at Hops & Haze on Saturday 2-11-17 for dinner and a show. When we arrived we went to eat at the resturaunt as we were told they are known for their good food. We sat for dinner at 7 and currently there was only 1 other group of 4 eating at the resturaunt with us. The bar only had employees sitting at it, so mind you there are only 2 tables of people at this time. (Total of ten people between the two tables) The waitress came over and took our drinks and to give us the benefit of the doubt she told us she was the only waitress there and to expect a little delay. 15 minutes later we had drinks and got to place our order. Still no complaints at this point, about 5 minutes later the other table ordered and 2 more people came in also.
About 45 minutes in we still have no food but for some reason the other table has there's. So my wife is starting to get edgy at this point and starts asking about our food. The waitress informs us the owner just walked out and that she had also walked out but had felt bad to leave us sitting there with no food and came back (as a side note we have no complaints with the waitress, she did her best). Our friends at the table with us finally got their food but only them. Now mind you we ordered chicken strips, French fries, and a couple Philly sandwiches lol I have cooked in a restaurant in my life time and these are not complicated or time consuming orders. Especially since this place uses an air fryer so you just stick it in and wait. Anyway off topic, about 8:15 we still have no food and the 2 people who came in after we did have already ate and left, the other group is gone except for one person. And the bartender is still making our second order of drinks from an hour ago, forgot to mention that ;). In any case we were not happy when this was over we finally got our food at about 8:30 and it was cold, we did not even eat it cause it looked like they just let it air dry literally for the past hour and a half, the cheese was not melted, the Fry's were cold, etc

After the comedy/upchurch so that was hosted across the street the first AL act envited the entire audience back to Hops & Haze for meet and greet. Upon arrival back we were carded for entry (at first atleast lol) and went directly to the bar. Once again we waited Watching the bartender socialize and do jumping jacks while my wife has her hand on the bar with money in hand waiting to ASK for a drink. This time we never even got to order the bartender was to busy socializing. After 30 minutes we walked out to socialize with our friends who attended the event with us and talk about the night. A few minutes in and the bartender stumbles out the door keys in hand, clearing upset and completely intoxicated. She met 2 friends at the end of the block where they discussed her quitting. After a few minutes she got in her and sped off into the night, mind you there was security standing outside observing all the events taken place up until now. Shortly thereafter the waitress comes out and she stopped to discuss that she quit and that the owner was not prepared for the 270 people that came.

So the owner of this place likes to make excuses like it's someone else's fault but unfortunately sir this is only your unprofessional attitude towards business management that caused this to happen. You need to take control of your employees and get your act together. You sold 270 tickets (your words per the local newspaper) to people and knew what to expect. This place was nice and the town is very unique, this could be a great place to hangout and I'm sure it is at times. So read this and instead of making excuses take it to heart and learn from your mistakes.

Outstanding welcoming experience in all respects! The service and staff on a Saturday night could not have been better. : ) They made a half veggie - half carnivore pizza loaded with toppings. It was better than expected. There was Blue Moon, and $3.00 glass wine. Karaoke with Daniel Baker was really fun. He is dedicated to the singers and always does a great job. Looking forward to another visit, and maybe try the Open Mike night on Thursdays. Understand a live band performs on Friday nights. What a blessing to the community of Summerville and the surrounding areas! Musicians and singers, try it. Daniel Baker also has a great selection of songs, including Christian and Gospel, you don't need a book, just tell him what you want to sing. Makes for a wide variety on karaoke night. Go visit!

My wife and I took the train ride from Chattanooga to summerville and we thought this would be a good place to eat since we only had a short time to be back on the train. We got to the restaurant about 1:05 it took 15 min for someone to take our drink order. Then once we got our drinks it took another 10 before anyone took our food order which was at 1:25. Now, granted it doesn't take that long to cook boneless wings. We got our order at 5 minutes till which we had to get to go and eat on the train. After we were told they were coming out then 5 minutes passed then other girl told us they were being boxed and we finally went to the bar to get our order. So, here's what we orderedlemon pepper and mild boneless wings that weren't all that good. They were reheated for sure. The texture was mushy and not firm like fresh cooked wings should be. The next time we take the train we'll get the dining car. This place was not good at all but one of the staff, Charli, was helpful and willing to make things right. As a matter of fact, the owner told people that confronted him that there were other restaurants and they could leave.
