Stumbled upon this restaurant as I was starving and didn't know where to go from Balboa Park (walking). Nicely surprised! A small room with only few tables, decorated with a lot of taste. The lunch menu offers a selection of cheaper options but nonetheless crazy tasty! The chicken teriyaki is to die for and the sashimi were just melting in the mouth. Without forgetting about the service which was perfect. Fabulous!

Great cozy restaurant with a cool upstairs patio dining area. Salmon special presented several types of salmon. Amazing quality sushi and this place makes an effort to source fish responsibly with their menu changes

This place is a small joint in Hillcrest, but the sushi was very fresh and delicious. The rolls were also amazing. go for it!

This is a good sushi place if you're into more novel sushi rolls! The fish isn't as fresh as ones I've tasted at other places, but they have unique spins on their specialty rolls which are flavorful.

Food was good, not for the price. Had a Kobe roll and Sunshine roll. I've had better rolls for significantly cheaper

One of the best places for Sushi in San Diego period. It is a small space so I highly recommend getting reservations as soon as possible. For additional info definitely check them out on Yelp.

Excellent sushi. Great and helpful staff. Some friends and I came here after a wedding and we all had a wonderful time. Note, you may want to make reservations.

The R U Kidding Me? roll is the lightest sushi roll I have ever eaten. I'm a sushi snob and will not eat in most places. My go to meal is extra spicy tuna hand roll, eel and soft shell crab appetizer. I had sushi first in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. I use this as a comparison and Azuki is fantastic. Super stoked to have found this gem. Quick note, bring something to stay warm if you get chilly at all. Waiting out front and the back patio can be cold for some, and it's right on the verge, so a light jacket to warm jacket, person depending, is a great idea. I was not cold but my wife was a bit chilly.

Unbelievable high quality that comes with high cost Service is weak considering the cost but that's not a deal breaker Azuki needs to keep more uni stocked Seem to be always out or I'm ordering the last remaining and it's 6pm. Definitely make this place a top choice and definitely make reservations

Best sushi I've found near downtown. Fish is always fresh, staff is pleasant. You can't go wrong with any roll. We also love their crab fried rice when we're craving something heavier.

That's not your average sushi restaurant. That's THE Japanese Restaurant. Vibrant, clean, friendly staff and the menu is absolutely incredible.
We love: the Salmon Special, the Toro Sushi, the Crab Fried Rice is amazing and the famous R you kidding me is so yummy. But yes I suggest to make reservation.
