I am so impressed with this clinic. Dr. Sidner is very caring, thorough, and honest. The pricing is fair and economical. Vets have a tendency to overcharge and overprescribe, but not here. They also carry specialized pet foods at the same price as online retailers. An incredible convenience for patrons worried about their precious furry ones. Care is consistently on-time and thorough. They take so much care making my little Ely comfortable. I will always turn to this clinic for my cat’s care. Thank you, Dr. Sidner!

My pup gets all of her medical and grooming needs taken care here and the whole staff is wonderful! I can call and talk to them about any concerns I may be having about my dogs health and they are very helpful. They even call to let you know when your pet is up for a check or refill on their prescription. It’s top notch and I wouldn’t want to take my dog anywhere else!

Great vet and staff. I have taken my pets here for more than 25 years. We also board our guys while on vacation.

Dr. Sidner is the best. I have gone to him for over a decade with my 5 dogs. I drive all the way from Gainesville to use him. He has diagnosed problems and solutions over the phone other vets had gotten wrong. Extra cool clinic as well.

Our cats have been seen by Dr. Sidner since we moved to Athens in 1985 and Dr. Barker since he joined the clinic. We have always been pleased with the care and concern of both veterinarians and highly recommend this clinic. The staff is pleasant and helpful and all concerned obviously love animals. We wouldn't go anywhere else! As to the review that mentioned the clinic smelled like cat pee, I have a sensitive nose and I've never experienced that during any of my visits to Animal Medical Clinic. Even if I had, I know cat pee happens around cats and is certainly no reason to give a bad review for a business that doesn't deserve it. I am confident that should you choose Animal Medical Clinic for your pet's care, you will be pleased.

I have been using Animal Medical Clinic since 1991 when I first moved to Athens when the clinic was recommended by a co-worker who owned cats and dogs. My pets have always received exceptional care at a reasonable price. The staff is caring and friendly. I recommend Animal Medical Clinic to all my friends, especially those who own exotic pets (birds, reptiles, etc). Thank you Dr. Sidner!

Dr. Sidner certainly seemed knowledgeable, but I don't think I'll be going back there. He was a little rough with my animals and he was a little hard on his technician, too.

The appointment was really short-- less than 40 min. for annual exams for 2 cats and a dog, plus some tests & shots. That's both good and bad, I guess. Less stressful for your pet, but how thorough are they?

The place also smelled like cat pee, which is a big turn-off. Beautiful facility though, and the prices were average to below-average.

Edit: Later, a friend told me that Dr. Sidner misdiagnosed her adopted stray cat's pregnancy as worms.

I have taken my german shepherd here ever since he was a puppy. Dr. Sidner is very knowlegeable and honest. These people are not out to get your money and I would recommend them to anyone that loves their pets!
