Everyone has heard about how Aspen is. Well, it was way better than I ever thought it would be. The views, the conditions Here we are in March. It's 50F. The snow is perfect, and we couldnt be more excited.
Nice place to explore. Very expensive. Very uppity.
This is a great place! I did not ski this time but was there for a couple of hours waiting for some friends at the bottom of the mountain and really enjoyed the ambiance with great music.
Now I've skied in various places in the US, Canada, Italy, France and Switzerland. And I thought I'd go to Aspen just to see it once after hearing about it all my life. I guess I decided to go on a bad year, because they didn't have that much snow and out of the hundred or so trails they had, only 30 were open. The whole experience was kinda disappointing and the whole time I was wishing I had gone to Whistler. But I did end up seeing Seal and Paris Hilton was there at the same time as me which was cool I guess. Also, get your lift tickets early like months in advance, because they do get expensive. The town itself is pretty and people are nice.
Love the gondola ride up to the top of Aspen mountain. You can get warm even on the coldest days. It's a pretty long ride because it's a very long run. From the top, you have 3,000 feet of descending to get back to the base (and the city). Like most of the Rockies, the snow here is usually wonderful fresh powder, the runs vary from intermediate to extremely difficult. There are no easy runs on this mountain, it is for intermediate to advanced skiers only.
Very nice town and a town for rich people. Everything was good, except for the over price of food. If you are an avid Traveller but want save money, buy food from somewhere outside.
Beautiful place to get on gondolas and see the views. Highly recommend and extremly clean.
Did the lift just in time to see some fall foliage, very pretty. It goes pretty high up, so if you have a fear of heights you might want to rethink. Oh don't rethink, just go for it!
The Aspen Mountain Gondola is a great attraction for great views and a fun afternoon.
The ride to the top is super smooth and the views, live music, lawn games, and overall vibe is worth the lift ticket up.
Highly recommended if you're passing through Aspen!
*PRO TIP* Buy your lift tickets three days in advance to save money.
Fun little town. Expensive, but that is to be expected. Amazing views!
We took the lift in June to the top. It was worth it. Amazing views and wonderful atmosphere.
It's a pretty area but an hour drive of stop and go to get to. As popular and world reknown as Aspen is, I was surprised how small the ski areas really are compared to places like Park City which is also a whole town built around a ski resort.
If you need to book rentals or lift tickets, I highly recommend requesting to speak with Blake Robinson. I have booked with other agents in the past and many times the order is not completed properly. Every time I work with Blake things are taken care of with ease.
