We booked the motel over the phone, not knowing what to expect. The front desk lady gave us the key for the room we paid for, but there was somebody already in there sleeping. After getting a new key, to a different room, we went to our room and the smell was so unbearable, we had to leave. We went to the front desk to report this. She offered us a room freshener for the smell. That was unacceptable. She didn’t want to give our money back. She would, however, offer to give a discount on the second night. The first night, on Saturday, was supposed to be 190.00 ,and then Sunday, was supposed to be 90.00. She offered 30.00 discount for the second nightbut we knew for sure we could not stay there. After arguing with her, she said she will keep $150.00, from what we already paid and we could leave. Back and forth, she kept 50.00. Overall, she should have reimbursed us the full room price. We did not stay there because of the condition of the room. We drove one half hour away, to the Ramada, in Watertown. We spent 89.00 for the room, and it was a great place.

Good location but very dirty hotel. Bugs crawling on beds and the whole hotel stinks. Soda machine out of order and garbage on floors. Gave us the wrong room that was ordered and not very good english at front desk. Very disorganized

Had a rough experience with the front desk but management righted the problem. The rooms are a warm place to sleep out of the elements. That's about all they are good for.

First off they did not have our booking from travelosity , but still gave us the room, the lady at the desk did not speak very good English, and after I had to show her my email conformation for the room she still wanted my cc, again pulled out my phone and showed her where it had taken the money from my account. It was close to where we were fishing and the store across the street was nice. Room was OK and mostly clean, very small TV and remotes did not work well. AC worked well but old and very noisy, wont be my next choice but would do in a pinch.

There was a faded swastika above the front door to the entrance of the motel. It must have been a remnant from the previous ownership as the current owners recently bought this business. However, when I explained the offensiveness of a swastika to the clerk on duty, she said she would let her husband know. She was either from India or Pakistan so I explained to her what a swastika represented and why it should have been removed immediately. The next morning when we checked out it was still there!😞

Quaint town and hotel. We were in town for state fair and to visit family. Loved the porch and the owners were very friendly. Shower was very small but rest of bathroom was large.
