Arts Tavern.if you know the place, well I dont have to say much more. Good food, but the menu hasn't changed in forever. The waitstaff is OKnot very nice, but not outwardly mean. The "no credit card" thing is so stupid. You arent proving a point to anyone, in fact, you overcharge for everything anyways, why not just build in the processing fee to your food pricing. Stop treating me a like a tourist, I own a home thereits rude.

Love this place!! No need to try anything else! Service is great! Very welcoming staff! Breakfast is outstanding! This place makes you feel like you're in a movie! Locals coming in and out, everyone seems to know eachother, it's a rare gem.

Art's Tavern is a very popular place at the main crossroads in Glen Arbor. There's a simple, medium-sized outdoor patio which practically doubles the crowded indoor seating (line outside 2 out of 3 weekend nights). Crowded because the beer selection is great - mostly regional craft and bottled beers - the food was really good for a small busy kitchen and it's the only place around open past 9:30pm. They had three TVs to watch the game (Michigan and Detroit teams) and an internet-connected jukebox. There are 10 or so tables, 6 booths and about 10 bar seats. We bellied up and the bartender was very helpful with both food and drink menus, listening to preferences despite the busy roadhouse atmosphere.

Burgers = 7/10, cooked medium rare
    Wings = 7/10
    Sweet potato fries = 10/10

Forgot about other reviews before stopping in so we had to use the ATM next door since they are CASH ONLY! What!?

But THE TOTS are worth the few steps to the ATM 🤣

I got the diner favorite (grilled white cheddar on apple bread), delicious!

Definitely small town vibe and staff is friendly.

We were a little hesitant about eating here after reading some of the reviews. I am glad we went because it was great! The burgers were fantastic and our service was great! I know they don’t take credit cards but don’t let that keep you away.

Overall not positive. Food was good (olive burger and tots), however the food was overpriced (burger should include tots/fries) and the drinks were as well ($6 draft beer, really?). The waitress wasn't around to offer water refills either even though there wasn't many people in there.

Obviously, the no credit cards is annoying, but they should at least be able to do separate tabs! My table had to separately work out our individual bills, something which should be done on their side.

Definitely will not return in the future.

Don't forget - cash only! We've been visiting Arts for as long as I can remember. The burgers are what we come for. French fries are not always the best here but the tater tots are a knock out! Always crispy and delicious. The waitress we had put our experience over the top. She joked and laughed with us through the meal. As simple as that is, it hardly happens anymore.

Lively atmosphere! Is pet friendly, brought bowls with water for the dogs! Food was great. Only accepts cash or check, NO CARDS, but they have an ATM.

Art's is Glen Arbor MUST. The atmosphere is great and their burgers and eats are delicious. Try local beers from the area and enjoy the patio outside in the summer.

Cash only. There's an atm near the side of the building. Place is extremely packed at night. I think it's one of the only "late night" spots in the entire town. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pretty friendly service and not bad prices.

Stopped in after a full day of adventures. Great selection of beers and tasty sandwiches! The price is what you would expect from a touristy part of Michigan but it is worth it. Had the deep fried smelt for the first time and loved every bite of it! The bartender was extremely attentive and his service was on point. We will definitely be back for more!

While the service is not great, the food is INCREDIBLE. They are a MUST for breakfast. Anything on their breakfast menu is a great option. I go here often for breakfast and typically get the Sleeping Bear breakfast. Their adult grilled cheese is also delicious.

Forewarning - they are cash and check only, so come prepared.
