My fiancé and I have been looking into buying a car and have had lots of questions. Heaven has been a giant help with all of our questions. She has a vast knowledge for what she does and has great customer service! Super friendly and outgoing! Would definitely recommend Northpointe Motors.

I have been here more than a few times to look at vehicles. I was looking to purchase a truck and when I test drove a vehicle, they left a list inside that showed all the problems it had from an inspection because they just received the vehicle and didn’t have time to clean it before I tried it. I can guarantee they sold that truck before fixing all the problems. I also went back later to test drive a different truck and was told it was at the other location and they would bring it to this one so I could try it out. They had a time scheduled for me to test the truck and when I called them to make sure everything was still good they said they already sold the truck at an auction. Meaning they had no intent on bringing the truck for me to see. Even after they did that to me they still tried to sell me something else that I didn’t want. Once they get you in a vehicle they will stop at nothing to make you leave with it. When they ran my approval for my credit I told them to only use ONE bank but when I got the results back he decided to add on more than one bank to see if they had a better rate. Some people might not know this but it can ruin your credit to see if a bank will approve you, it is also illegal for them to check without consent. To get the credit check removed from your record you have to send a report on why and how it wasn’t authorized. Avoid even looking at cars on this lot they will find a way to negatively impact your life one way or another. They only see what makes them money.

They handled the sale ok. They're salespeople
A couple of problems were not handled well. One obvious issue with the AC. They offered to pay to recharge the system even though I knew it was a leak somewhere needing a repair soon.
Other was way worse. They sent me on my way home with my "new" vehicle after their service people topped off the brakes with the wrong fluid. By the time I got home 250 miles away, the brakes were getting soft. Within a few days I could no longer drive the vehicle. Cause: contaminated fluid ruined master cylinder and wheel seals.
They only paid half of the one thousand dollars to fix brakes and recharge AC.
As it would be a protracted argument with people many hours away, I relented and just took the $500. Better than nothing.
Later I discovered the CD player does not work (only tested radio during test drive, I didn't bring a CD to try at the time.) Just another unhappy surprise.
Overall very unsatisfying experience with these people.
More than $1000 in repairs and they only paid half. They obviously need to stiff me out of $500+ more than I need it.
Cheap, low rent tactics. I hope this review queers a few deals for them.

"Great Experience!"

Robert and Aaron B were great to work with and liked that they did not do the high pressure sales on us. We were able to take our time over a 3 day period looking over the Jeep Wrangler Moab edition that my wife and I fell in love with. The Jeep was very clean with only 15k miles on it and felt very comfortable buying it from this dealership. I would highly recommend checking out their inventory, Robert made the paper work process very quick and smooth along with getting us a very low interest rate. We are happy with the purchase we made and look forward to doing business with them in the future!

I have bought 3 cars from there the last one I had for less than 30 days and have had multiple problems. So in the last 40 days or so I have drove the car for 2 weeks at the most. They have had my car for almost a week and haven't sent it to get fixed. I'm not happy with this experience this time. They need to get organized and figure out what's going on. And stop selling hunk cars!

As with any car dealer , I had braced myself before even walking in. Braced myself for the typical sales pressure, the unwillingness to help. Boy was I wrong! Northpointe Motors is NOT just another dealer. From begining to end , I was treated wonderfully. Michelle had called me after an inquiry and scheduled me with Derek. Michelle was very friendly and helpful. Derek was amazing from begining to end. As soon as I arrived he was greeting me. He sat down with me and honestly listened about my wants and needs. Needing to get a lower car payment but a four-wheel drive and room for a family, he went right to work. We found a few vehicles that had all the necessities for my lifestyle. Never once did he show me anything that was not in the parameters of what I wanted, which was nice.well he did show me a Dodge, but I'll let that slide! After finding a nice Yukon that fit my needs as well as my budget, the whole team went to work. Aaron (finance guy) helped with my vehicle that I wanted to swap and worked with me to avoid as much negative equity as possible. They even knocked off additional money on the Yukon to help with my financing and monthly payments! After all was said and done Aaron and Derek saved me over $160 a month on a car payment and I didn't end up rolling over any negative equity. I wouldn't hesitate to see this team if you need a vehicle. They truly care about your well being and financial concerns. This is how dealers should be. As long as I'm in MI , I won't go anywhere else. .

Also, Derek is making sure I'm getting a full tank of gas next time I see him. On the house ;)

My Husband and I were in the market for a car for a couple of months. I had dealt with more dealerships than I would have liked to admit. I stumbled across a great deal at Northpointe Motors on our 2013 Ford Explorer.
We purchased it from out of state (approx 550 Mi away) Michelle Rayner was the first person I talked to when I called and she was very professional and prompt in answering all of my questions and she saw the sale through to the end. It was quite a process buying a vehicle from out of state but Michelle definitely went above and beyond in all aspects. I asked if the car had remote start, she got back to me with the answer, which was no; however, before she got back to me she took it upon herself to contact a local company and get a quote on how much it would cost for us to have remote start installed before we picked it up. She researched and emailed us the best route for us to take on the way home from picking up the vehicle without us requesting such directions. She looked into delivery options to see if we could benefit from getting the vehicle delivered to our state as opposed to going to pick it up. The only day we could pick the vehicle up was on a Sunday and Northpointe Motors is closed for business on Sundays. Without hesitation Michelle said that it was no problem and her and a colleague picked my husband up from the airport on their day off, a holiday (mothers day) nonetheless. I have nothing but good things to say about Northpointe Motors and would recommend them to anyone in the market for a new car. Not to mention I am totally in love with our new car which we got for a great price!

This is my third purchase from Northpointe Motors and I wouldn't buy anywhere else! My first loan was through their in-house program at a higher interest rate, but Jared helped me trade in a couple years later taking my interest rate from 24% to 3.49%! Derek in Traverse City just sold me my third car and I can't say enough good things about the guys in this company. Everybody makes you feel like you're the most important part of their day and bend over backwards to make sure you're taken care of! I will continue to refer everybody I know to Northpointe Motors. Derek and Jared are great! Thanks again!!
