They had advertised hours until 8:00 Wednesdays. Our cat had a urinary blockage and we called and left a message at 6:30 and no one answered or returned our call.
At 7:00 we drove and arrived at 7:15. There were two vehicles out front and the front door was open. The lobby lights were off and nobody was up front. I kept shouting "Hello" and walked to a back room. Two nice young ladies came out and after I told them we needed assistance said there wasn't a doctor available. This was close to 7:30.
Please don't advertise hours if you have no intent on being staffed. We had to drive to the emergency vet in Michigan City.

I took my animals there for a long time and when they needed to be put to sleep we took her there. They were kind and caring through all of my screaming and crying. My vet had cared for my dog since she was very young and cried when we had to let her go.

Very caring. Consistently offer the best advice for the pet, even if the advice is tough for the owner to hear. They put the animal's welfare first. I have been bringing pets here for 10+ years.

Word of cautionthis is NOT an animal hospital! Out of town visiting family and my dog had an injured paw that needed attention. I explained the situation. Was told their Dr's (notice the plural) were on lunch. I said I could wait. Then was told, "we only have one on duty today". My response was, "so you can't get me in at all today?" And her response was, "no, sorry". I asked if she could recommend or knew of another place. Her response was "no". What? Really? A quick google search and there were numerous area vets. While polite and empathetic, I would trade both those qualities for intelligence and direction. If there is going to be the word "hospital" in the title, I would assume they would be just that. If you're looking for immediate care, this is NOT the place to take your beloved pet. Found a place 15 minutes away and got my dog the care he needed.
