Chris and Linda are gracious hosts and the property is beautiful. We stayed in the Blue Ridge Room and appreciated the large bathroom with the whirlpool tub. Breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed our llama trek with Jonas. We visited the Natural Bridge, which is close by, and went into Lexington for a nice dinner. This is a great place to get away for a quiet, relaxing weekend. I wish we had more time to stay!

My husband surprised me with a visit here for our anniversary and I am so happy we stayed here! I've loved llamas for a long time, had been craving time in nature, and wanted a relaxed vacation (and to bring along our newly adopted dog}. Applewood Inn delivered all I could want and more! We were in the European room, and enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and we slept well -- everything was so quiet! Our dog loved running around the fenced-in grassy area with us, and we had a nice trek with Stryker the llama on the beautiful property. Chris and Linda were wonderful hosts, very friendly, responsive, and great cooks! I hope we can stay again for a future vacation so we can explore more of the hiking options near by.

Extremely over priced for what was offered. Lack of privacy (you could see into our room quite easy from public area). Was not given wifi password upon arrival and when my husband asked for it we were told "do not watch any videos, access is very limited!." (extremely frustrating as were tracking hurricane Irma as it approached our home in FL).
Was asked to pay with check or cash which was strange to us.
The pro's were it was clean and they had a water bowl for our dog. Chris is also very thorough with directions.
I hate to give a bad review but I think if we would have read something like this we would have chosen different accommodations.
**You are incorrect in your response, we did not step foot in hot tub or use candles because lack of privacy prevented the use.
**Chis was aware of our early departure, we told him we would leave at 6am and he said he got up at 7am to walk the dogs but did not offer an early option for breakfast.

Received very poor and rude cutomer service over the phone from the wife and husband. Will be taking my money elsewhere to spend in vacation. Husband said is wife was going through breast cancer as to eat he was very nasty to me over the phone and hung up on me, I adviced that had he not been rude, he and his wife I would have explained that a was a newly grad from medical school in surgical assisting and could understand and sympathize with them both However being hung up on and laughed at on the phone was beyond disrespectful and I have never received such howful service. I would not recommend this place ever to anyone.

The bed and breakfast was lovely. There are great hiking trails with Meadows and mountain views on the property. Virginia Safari park was very close and so was natural bridge. Owners were very nice and made great breakfast. Pet friendly too. They also had a pool and pretty gardens. A great getaway spot .

Amazing experience all around. Chris and Linda spare no detail in making sure your stay is comfortable and relaxing. Eco-tourism at its finest. Delicious breakfasts cooked to any dietary need, very clean, well-appointed rooms and common areas, beautiful terraced gardens, spectacular views, relaxing pool area, and the llama trekking is fun. Centrally located to many attractions as well.

Just stayed there last weekend and had a great time, everything was perfect and we would not change a thing. Chris and Linda were great to talk to and breakfast was wonderful each morning. The environment and culture at this B&B is amazing and we will be definitely be going back in the near future.
