Fast and friendly service. I purchased an item online and I was able to pick it up within 45 minutes from when I placed the order. I recommend taking someone with you if you drive so that one of you can wait in the vehicle while the other picks up the item. There is a large turnaround next to the entrance which makes it very convenient. It didn't take me more than 5 minutes once I arrived.

Rated 3 solely due to too long of a wait time - a little over an hour. Service technician Carson was very well educated on my device and was able to troubleshoot all the problems in less than 1 minute! In addition she educated me on what the causes were of my issue and how to correct them. Solid customer service once you are serviced! Store is enormous and stocked with all the latest products. If you live downtown it makes sense to go there. If you don’t, you’re better off going to the Apple Store in your own city!

Busy location and staff can be a little intense. I still love this location next to the river, social distancing is super great here but the wait time varies, waited 30 additional minutes from my original scheduled time for the Genius Bar.
If you are looking for a quick buy I recommend this location, other than getting something fixed Lincoln Park location is amazing.response / report this review -

Extremely friendly customer service representatives. I switched over to iPhone OS to Android, and the salesperson was truly wonderful getting my online order. Outside security isn't as "Cheerful" or that welcoming, Lol. But once I got inside, it was a very pleasant experience. Definitely a 5 star experience that is definitely going to make me go back.

You know, there is a sure fire way to get people to not patronoze a business or event, and that's when security follows you around and stairs at you as if you're the first and last theif in the world. Turns me off more than the bloated prices. Let me also be clear and state that this behavior was racially motivated. I'm sure why a number of the majority group were planning on ways to get over, they were safe to do so because I was the default distraction. No worries, I've decided that overpriced aluminum boxes are not for me, but the dummies and self hating people of color who enjoy being treated like dumb cattle.

This is one of the most unique locations of Apple in the United States. They moved it from its previous location close to the Hancock Tower to the Chicago River location.
The Views are stellar here..
If you are visiting Chicago and you have some time to kill, you can stop by and see the latest updates from Apple.
They made A cool tiny stadium style seats where you can sit and watch whatever they’re displaying for that day on a big screen and you can enjoy watching the Chicago River.
Staff were OK.
I bought my AirPods from here for total of $180.

My experience here was fantastic. This Apple Store provides great customer service and a friendly environment. Not to mention an elegant look! You are guaranteed to not get lost as everything is at eyes view. The Genius Bar was very friendly and provided fast service. During your wait time (usually less than 15 min), you wait in the Theater which is a very nice spot to hang out while waiting. I would greatly recommend going here!

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Although the place was quite crowded, the wait was very short and service was quick and efficient. I went in to get my cracked iPhone screen fixed and they told me it would take about two hours, but they were done within 45 minutes. Would highly recommend this location!

My review isn’t based on a visit to the store, it’s based on a call I made to the store. We had a visitor come in from (Germany) and visit the 679 N. Michigan Ave. Store. I called the store to find out if they were able to help our visitor with her cracked iPhone screen. I figured I would pay for the repairs over the phone and make sure she was okay.
The Apple Store representative explained to me that there’s no way she would take the time to locate our out-of-town guest in the store or answer questions about any repairs. I guess it was too busy. I asked the Apple representative for her name but, instead of the representative giving me her name, she hung up on me.response / report this review -

Made appointment. Spent over 2 hours at store waiting for 'specialist' to help register this severely dangerous product defect with mac battery. They kept skipping us. When I kindly explained to host we just want to know if we can be compensated for new battery due to this defective and explosive one, as well as safely recycle this hazardous one- I received eye rolling and was told to wait for specialist again. After pure frustration in wait and lack of action to ensure this defect doesn't harm others, we left store and went to closest electronics store. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE! Staff was very apologetic we had this battery problem and cautiously handled bad battery, even stating to us they are thankful we brought it to them so it can be handled with great care and urgency. Very disappointed with Apple's lack of care for people and safety. I have made purchases from the store many times in past. I won't be spending my dollars at locations that don't care for consumer's safety.

A large Apple store that is often not a great choice when looking for a quick shopping experience. Store can be very busy and the staff spends a lot of time with each customer. However this can lead to long wait times to make purchases or seek service.

Apple stores generally provide great customer service and a helpful staff. This location is no exception. It's just a bit busier than most other Chicago land stores and you may find yourself waiting for someone to help you a bit longer than you'd like.
