1. The Hamburger most likely first appeared in the 19th or early 20th century.[1][2] The modern hamburger was a product of the culinary needs of a society rapidly changing due to industrialization, the emergence of the working class and middle class and the demand for mass-produced, affordable food that could be consumed outside of the home.
Americans contend[citation needed] they were the first to combine two slices of bread and a steak of ground beef into a "hamburger sandwich" and sell it. The hamburger has spread from continent to continent perhaps because it matches familiar elements in different culinary cultures.[7] This global culinary culture has been produced, in part, by the concept of selling processed food, first launched in the 1920s by the White Castle restaurant chain and its visionary Edgar Waldo "Billy" Ingram and then refined by McDonald's in the 1940s.[8][9] This global expansion provides economic points of comparison like the Big Mac Index,[10] by which one can compare the purchasing power of different countries where the Big Mac hamburger is sold.
2. When she worked at a pet shop two years earlier, Homolka befriended a 15-year-old girl. On June 7, 1991 Homolka invited the girl, known as "Jane Doe" in the trials, for a "girls' night out". After an evening of shopping and dining, Homolka plied "Jane Doe" with alcohol laced with Halcion. When the girl lost consciousness, Homolka called Bernardo to tell him that his surprise wedding gift was ready. They undressed "Jane Doe", and Bernardo videotaped Homolka raping the girl before he penetrated her vaginally and anally. The next morning, "Jane Doe" was nauseated; she thought that her vomiting was from drinking alcohol for the first time, and did not realize that she had been sexually assaulted.
"Jane Doe" was invited back to Port Dalhousie in August to "spend the night". In a replay of what happened to Karla's sister, Tammy Homolka, "Jane Doe" (whose identity is protected by law) stopped breathing after she was drugged and Bernardo began to rape her. Wow! I went here a few years ago, and the place was stunning! There were only a few rats in the cafeteria, and the food there had minimal human flesh and poison. Only 3 students died from food poisoning, too! The professors were charming, and had a wide range of personalities. 10/10 worth every cent!

I just got back home from hamburger university. It was a great and fantastic experience for me. The coaches are awesome so much knowledge there is to learn about McDonald's business.

Hamburger University is the best decision I've ever Made! even if I did have to sell my 4 cows and my 2 kids to be processed through a meat grinder and served to the public to eat in front of me when I serve it to them. Thanks Hamburger University! (Obviously selling my 4 cows and 2 kids was for tuition)

When I applied to Hamburger University, I didn't even care about it and it was rather a joke to me, but as life goes, I couldn't get into any other college and even got declined from my local community college so I made the most logical choice of coming to Hamburger University. The education here is so superb that we not only learn about flipping burgers, but we also learn about counting so we can aspire to become a cashier. The only downside of attending this university is that I had to sell my child to a cannibal in order to afford the tuition. Nonetheless, I have never been so happier with a decision in my life, and if given another opportunity, I'd do it all over again.

When I first looked into hamburger university I felt down due to the gpa requirements being -4.0. I thought I wouldnt be able to get my gpa at the place it needed to be by the end of senior year of high school at french fry HS (FFHS), But with enough (no) work I got me gpa from a 4.9 to a -4.0 to be able to fulfill my life's meaning aka flipping patties for minimum wage and dealing with horse meat and serving it to kids. I am the first person in my family to attend a college and I am so proud to say that the first person in the Rodriguez family to go to college attended hamburger university. Now that i have completed my education at hamburger university I work at the McDonald's on Clemson road in Columbia South Carolina and I feel wonderful. I have 9 kids and I make -$20.00 an hour flipping horse meat at the location. I am happy to say that i feel as if I have completed life! Thank you hamburger university! rate 10/10 would recommend !

I think it's funny how people say it's a university to flip burgers. If you knew anything about it you would know it's a great opportunity to make a pretty incredible career. Store management employees get paid gas, a Ford escape of their choice and 6 month Paid Vacations, bet you didn't know that did ya McDonald's sets their employees up pretty great. This school is about how to run a successful business and how to further your career to eventually owning your own stores. The joke here is all the clueless people making fun of the students. It's name is supposed to be satirical and funny but don't let that fool you because all those students are paid for and put up in an incredible Hyatt hotel the entire time they attend their classes. Oh and the best part is I can almost guarantee those "burger flippers" y'all are making so much fun of; are currently working their butts off to run a successful store and are making great money in the process!
