Buying an iPhone here was so completely difficult, and the service was a mixed bag. Some employees were nice, but most seemed as if I was bothering them when I asked for help to spend over $1000 on their product. I asked a few questions 1) how the zoom feature worked on the iPhone camera - the staff didn’t know, 2) if an unlocked phone could be used on a specific network - I got three different answers from 3 different customer service people. I ended up buying my iPhone online and would never go back to this store to buy, and I dread the day I need service here as the waiting for that was even more insane. I wasted so much time waiting and getting incorrect information at this store. Buy online if you can or in another location.
Went to Apple Genius Bar with an iPhone stuck at Apple logo. Wait time was just over an hour. Had my phone diagnosed by their “tech” and conclusion was that I needed to have my phone replaced because my iPhone wasn’t fixable! They were going to charge me just about $350 for a replacement!
Customer service rep was very nice and that’s why I’m giving this place 3 stars. 5 stars for csr and 1 for the tech.
Had my phone fixed for a fraction of the cost at non-authorized repair shop! It was a fraction of the cost too!
Nothing spectacular, customer service is slow but I assume it is due to the crazy amount of people in the store. Even with an appointment I had to wait 30 minutes after my scheduled time before seeing someone. The staff was nice and friendly so overall not a terrible experience just be prepared to wait a while. I give it a 3 star rating for the speed and quality of service.
I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional customer service and professional provided by Diana N. She has gone above and beyond to ensure a wonderful customer experience. I have been to MANY Apple stores, and I have never encountered such a wonderful employee! This Apple store is lucky to have an employee like Diana N.!! She is the paragon of a retail industry employee. Thanks again, Diana!
This is Darla Johnson and I had the pleasure of walking into the store to be greeted by one of the most helpful and energetic Apple reps I have met at this very popular and busy store. LEE welcomed me and without an appointment managed to work with me as he took great care of greeting and directing others to where they needed to go for assistance. As I hesitated to stay thinking it was something that this store could not do he insisted I stay and allow him to look into my situation. Not only did identify what to do, he quickly put me with someone who fixed the problem in less 5 minutes. He was fantastic and his willingness to help was over and beyond your typical Apple Rep. Thank you LEE!
I have mixed feelings about this store. If you are someone who needs tech support in person, I'd recommend being there right before they open, for a walk in. If you decide to do a walk in in the middle of the day, expect to wait at least an hour or more. It can usually go up to 2 or 3 hours of a wait. If you are buying a product, then you should be okay and not be waiting too long. I do hangout in the store a lot just to look at the devices.
With my situation here, which has been going on for over 4 months, I finally got the issue resolved because I called apple support online. I'd highly recommend talking to apple support online before taking your issue into the store here. My issue was something that couldn't be reproduced on command, so it was almost impossible to show them proof of the problem. They ran tests and the device passed and it didn't show any issues, even though I showed them a video of the issue happening. I finally decided to talk to a manager and he kept telling me that I should upgrade to a newer device, after I've told him a few times that I didn't have the money and I just wanted my issue fixed. The issue was going on way before the device expired and since the device expired, the manager said he couldn't help me. I got frustrated and he said I can call apple support and they came to a fixed solution in 10 minutes. Support told me that I was still within warranty, since the issue has been ongoing way before expiration. With that said, apple support is more likely to fix the issue, in a very short amount of time, whereas you are less likely to fix it, and wait for a long time in the store. I really wish they would fix the wait times there because it's ridiculous. I'm happy I finally got it resolved, thanks to apple support.
Since it's the only Apple show in town - it's almost always busy here! Best to arrive literally upon opening and you will have immediate service. Even under crowded situations they do a pretty good job with there staff, wait times are as expected given the popularity. The store is you typical Apple design and philosophy, clean, bright with large open floor space design.
I have been here quite a few times. Once to have a screen on a iPhone 5 fixed and it was cheaper then having it done 3rd party.
2nd was to get a Apple tablet I purchased sorted out, and lastly was 2 days ago to have them help me with a Apple Watch that I've had a few years that slipped off my wrist and broke. That day I switched it to the smaller band cause I had lost over 150lbs and the Apple short band I never wore was faulty. They agreed to repair if repairable or replace through the repair depot for free.
I am quite impressed with Apple Store even though the longest time I've been in there was 3 hours once and it's a hours drive either way.
The customer service is excellent and the experience is welcoming.
The sleek designing of the store may be fashionable, but it's fashionably uncomfortable.
The wait is not so bad if you bring your iPad or other entertainment. It pasts faster. They also text you about 15 minutes before they are going to call you giving you the option to extend the appointment or cancel it. So you can actually go about your day as you see suited.
The stores model is excellent. You can't make everybody happy.
Very disappointed with the service here. Had an appointment at 3:20 for my computer, knew they would be busy so I arrived 10 minutes early. After waiting for 30 minutes decided to leave since people who arrived after me were being seen first. When I make an appointment for a place as busy as the Apple Store I expect to wait a few minutes but not 30. My computer is still not fixed but I will not return here. They need to have better time management and take care of those who made an appointment over those who just walked in.
First the wait is crazy, we finally get the phone screen fixed. On the way out of the mall it freezes. Mind you the phone was working perfect before we had the phone screen fixed. We call tech support and they say they can't help us. Some kind of software issue. What I don't understand is how and why when the iPhone 7 never had issues before they touched. Now I got to take time to wait again tomorrow. Apple get it together.
I had a scheduled appointment at 345what is the point in schedualing if there are not certain people for certain things..sales people..then support. I talked with apple support online and they were great. I know store is busy..but a scheduled appointment is a scheduled appointment.
I got waited on SOON enough I did not realize they were short staffed. The two men that assisted me were wonderful..can not thank them enough..I know they all work very hard..and are VERY NICE
I have had an okay experience in the past, but today was a no star! Here we are April. Had motherboard replaced in August, and was told I had a one year warranty on parts. NOT TRUE. Apparently.they deemed my computer "Vintage" as of December and refuse to honor my one year warranty. The tech then had the guts to ask me if i wanted to upgrade.yahno. I said it was a pretty poor time to ask me if i wanted to drop another couple thousand on a company that wont honor a warranty. He told me thatwelli "am entitled to my opinion" N-I-C-EApple Tech!
So i cant blame JUST Apple Store Tampa, because i called Apple.was told the same thing. "Yesthat is our standard warranty, but we no longer carry they parts." Here is a suggestion.and maybe its just TOO simple.butwhen you have a one year parts warrantycarry the parts unit ONE YEAR AFTER YOU INSTALL THE LAST ONE.Just Saying.
I looked on google and observed what times of the day the store was the slowest. I went at 11:30, was put on a waiting list, was told an hour, and was pleasantly surprised to be called back after 15 minutes. I gave the representative my phone and my phone was ready in less than an hour. The staff was courteous and easily accessible. Although the store became busy I still received individual attention about my issue. Completely satisfied. Only thing is that the repair was a little pricey but that is apple for ya! 😁
Service so bad it makes you wanna divorce apple products. Walked in knowing what I want and just wanting them to take my money. Left angry and empty handed. If you aren't flagging them down like hailing a taxi in Manhattan you aren't getting help. Stood there and waited 22 minutes to be acknowledged. Then even the five people standing along the wall doing nothing aren't allowed to pull your product and ring you up. No attempt to save the sale. There will be no attempt by me to go back. Avoid at all costs.
Very horrible customer service. Always busy which is good, however they cannot staff for crap. Was there to purchase a new phone this last weekend and said it would be over an hour before they would be able to sell me one. Walked right out and canceled my order. The gal there didn't even know how to cancel the order I had to call Apple to have them cancel. The service received and the attitude there is ridiculous! The people there should have a lesson in good customer service. I think they try as hard as they can to be the rudest and most obnoxious that they can and think that they are all that and those that walk in must bow to them.
