Great meal and Chris M was a great server. He went above and beyond when I spilled something one my shirt and bring me club soda to get the stain out. Will deffintally be back.
Side note, get better Stake knife's! It was very hard to just my stake.response / report this review -

The food was just ok and I was not impressed with the service. I didn't get any good recommendations from my server. The drinks are overpriced - my margarita was $15 - and not very good. This is more of an establishment place versus a destination for great food or service.

So went to dinner w/ a friend. Our server was trash. He never introduced himself, we only learned his name after we received the bill. During our entire dining experience he checked on us once, there was no small talk or customer service for that matter. After paying the bill I went to the restroom, when I returned my friend had gone to the restroom as well. As I gather my coat and bag to leave the server turned to I and said and I quote "thank you, and make sure you have some very interesting sexual encounters tonight" *jaw drops* because surely I didn't hear what I thought I just heard. What did you just say? "The server gave me a nasty look and walked away. I called to speak to the manger and he suggested the sever was "being humorous" and said he would speak to the server. I just can't comprehend how that could be humorous or even okay to say to someone at all. It was incredibly disrespectful and inappropriate and I was made to feel very uncomfortable. I won't be returning to this establishment ever again.

Great place. Very good food. The atmosphere was great, not loud even in the bar where we were seated. Could tell by the patrons that the locals enjoyed the place. As an out of towner it was the type of place I was looking for. Nice and friendly service too.

Always open. Service can suck at times, in fact, honestly it always does lol.. but the food is good. Great for after the club.

Came for a short trip to DC. holy cow!!! Not only was our food amazing, the waiter was the best I've had in a long time. He even changed our wine selection according to our dinners. Absolutely fantastic place!

If there was ever an institution Annie's would be one of them. The mainstay of Dupont Circle and late night eating, early eating and just eating. The interior hasn't changed since I been there. There is an old feel to this place and I just don't mean the clientele. There can be a wait on a good night. Okay, there is always some sort of wait. The service is quick friendly. The host is part of the neighborhood. She's always there when we go. The food here is the steak. Anything else is sort of a hit or miss to me. The house salad for one can feed 2 people. The selection of steaks are all good. All orders comes out usually as requested. You usually come out feeling satisfied but I think off to bed to the end of the night of bar hopping rather than the beginning but hey if you feel sexy after gouging 15oz steak go for it!

By far one of the most fun and delicious places in Washington DC. We first visited Annie's Steak House in 2011 and was impressed by the friendly atmosphere, quality of food, and reasonably priced menu. This weekend in April 2017, we took another trip down and Annie's was on the top of our dinner list. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. Once again the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, the food was fantastic and reasonable priced, and the service was pretty good too!
I had my standard Mushroom Swiss Burger, a simple test for any restaurant worth it's weight in salt, and loved it. Despite my medium-well preference, the meat was tender-juicy sirloin, and perfectly cooked. The brioche bun was fresh and soft. And the fries were golden colored, just like I like em. We'll continue coming back to Annie's whenever we visit DC.response / report this review -

The portions here were really fantastic and made it easy to share with a friend. While I'm still not really a fan of dim lighting in DC and other places it was a lovely restaurant aesthetically too. Our server was lovely too. I highly recommend it!

Got a 30 dollar new York strip. Asked for medium rare. Was burnt on the outside. Very dry. Not seasoned well. I've made much better steaks on my own.
The sides were not well made. The buttered carrots did not have any butter on them. The tomatoes were not ripe and basically tasted like bamboo.
This gets two stars because at least it was edible. I just expected more from a place that charged 30 dollars and has "steakhouse" in its name.response / report this review
