One of our cats started acting a little slow and she was making funny noises. As it was the day after Christmas and 4:20 in the afternoon our regular vet recommended we call ASH and take her in. We were very worried as this is really my youngest daughters cat and the thought of her losing her Middy after Christmas wasn't a good one. So I called and I found the staff to be very helpful and told us to fill out the forms online so we wouldn't have to do that once we arrived.
As they were really busy when we arrived we did have to wait once we arrived which didn't bother me as this is a hospital and expected. Once we went in the staff was friendly and very professional and quick in taking care of our Midnight, they gave us an estimate range for treatment which while more expensive than our regular vet this is a 24/7 emergency hospital same as I would pay more going to NCH as opposed to going to my primary Dr. The X-ray came back that our poor Midnight was very constipated so they took care of her and told us to go get something to eat while the enama worked it's magic and to give them a call in an hour to see if she was ready. When w called we were informed that it had worked and she was much happier. And she was when we arrived she was already returning to her old self. The vet also went over what may have caused her issue and what step we could take to help prevent it in the future. So not only did they treat our kitty we walked away with more info on how to care for them.
So while ASH is more expensive than a regular vet it is to be expected as they are a 24/7 emergency center, out cat received excellent and pretty quick care given how busy they were when we arrived. If you have a pet emergency I would highly recommend ASH.response / report this review -

Brought my dog Tyson there about 2 weeks ago we really thought we were going to lose him but thanks to the help and care of the staff at ASH Tyson made a remarkable recovery. You could literally call at anytime and there’s someone there happy to give you an update on the condition of your pet. I can not thank them enough.

As far as the staff everyone was very nice
But stay away too expensive,
I should’ve gone somewhere else!!!
$900 bill
First it was $600 then turned out to be $900 bucks with my dogs medicine unbelievable
They think people have a money making machine at home. I’m still trying to recover from the hurricane Irma and then I’m slammed with this bill
Now we are in a much worse situation.

They saved my cat’s life. I initially wanted her at the other pet ER on pine ridge near I-75, but my sitter mistakenly brought her here. Best mistake ever. My cat was basically comatose and dead when she came in. They quickly stabilized her and gave us a referral to a neurologist. They were very patient with me as I dealt with the emotional fallout of having a pet almost pass away. I visited and called at all hours and they were compassionate and kind. I will bring all of my pets here for any emergency. They are not cheap, but can you put a price on saving your pet’s life?

The surgeons and staff at ASH in Naples, FL have (literally) been life savers for my dog, Ruby. She injured herself 2 years ago, and the skilled surgeons found the source of her injury (pieces of stick or wood embedded under her tongue (very unusual). They got the debris out and she's fully recovered. After that, she's needed 2 surgeries on torn ACL's - yes, she is a very athletic Pit Bull! This is a world-class specialty hospital with around the clock care, rehab specialists, a caring and highly skilled staff, and thank goodness for me, they accept Care Credit!

My male Doberman is still recovering at ASH from a spinal injury. Since I walked in the door, everyone from the front desk, technicians and vets have been outstanding caring for my "best friend". I cannot say enough about how impressed I have been with the loving, professional care he has been given. Hats off to all with a special thanks to Adriana.

We took our dog here last night due to vomiting and lethargy. Everyone was very helpful and professional. Dr Mars was wonderful. They did x-rays and found an obstruction. Doctor was very honest and did not push abdominal surgery right away. She gave us options. We decided to keep our dog there overnight on observation and IV fluids and take her to our family vet in the morning. When I called in the morning, our vet already had all records faxed from the ASH.
The hospital charged us 130$ for a visit and 175$ for x-rays.

Called on Monday morning 8AM. Person answering the phone clearly couldn't care less. Was told "I just came in, don't know the schedule".
Our dog needed an abdominal ultrasound. Her ALT levels were very high and our vet needed to know if it was liver or gall bladder. Today (Wednesday) at around 11AM they finally called back to say that there was a cancellation and we could come in for an ultrasound. Our dog passed 12 hours prior.
If you want your pet to die, call this place! They don't care! Office staff is horrible. More concerned about telling us how much it's going to cost than when our dog could be seen!!!response / report this review -

I completely agree with other comments. The front staff are rude, uncaring, and incompetent.. The front desk is the first contact you have with this, or any business. It can be make, or break. Unfortunately at ASH, it's break. Front staff need to be completely retrained, including a course in empathy!! You can laugh and joke around, in your free time. But when distressed owners of sick pets are sitting in the waiting area.. understanding and compassion would be appreciated.. The front staff's incompetence and lack of empathy
are my reason for driving miles out of my way, rather than go to ASH again..response / report this review
