Wonderful professionals including vets and staff. Trust them completely with my pets. Even have home visits available if needed. Highly recommend them to anyone who needs great veterinarian service.

These people really care about your animals. The doctors will even come to your home to take care of them for a small fee. I use them to take care of my pot belly pig which is too big to travel. They come out to my home every 3 to 4 months just to trim his feet.

If I could give no stars I would! I called after finding a matted poodle in need of a bath, haircut and rabies vaccine.
I was told over the phone when making the appointment the price for the grooming would be $40 and the rabies vaccine would be $12. I agree'd and brought my dog the next morning. I then called to see if he was ready and asked the final price so I could grab cash, only to be told the price was $72! I wasn't mislead on the price and will be taking him elsewhere from now on.
I was a precious equine client and had no issues.

My senior dog needed to be euthanized, and for a couple of reasons I wanted it done at home. Her regular vet (Foothills Pet Hospital) wouldn't do that, nor would the other vet in Mt. Airy they recommended. There is a business in Greensboro that performs this service, but they didn't cover far western Surry County. Animal Medical Services was very understanding when I called, and came out the next day. The personnel who came to my house were compassionate and understanding. I cannot express how much their services meant to me.

I've used this clinic for many, many years for my own pets but am seriously rethinking that. I'm so very disappointed that on a Friday at 4:30, this clinic refused to see a cat who was just hit by a car infront of my house. Its back was broken and it needed immediate relief. I don't even know whose cat it was!

All the receptionist at this clinic could do was talk about their emergency vet fee over and over and over, then finally referred me to their Galax. VA office which would have been a hour-and-a-half drive. 4:30 on a Friday is too late to put an animal that's suffering to sleep? Pilot Mountain Animal Clinic didn't mind helping at all. They called it a Good Samaritan visit and put the poor kitty to sleep, charging me for the drugs only. Shame on you Animal Medical Services!!!

My pit Franco has no interest whatsoever in getting a manicure. None. Hes not rude about it or aggressive but he whines and tucks his little feet like he was about to get his bits and pieces removed. These folks had him clipped and happy about it in less than ten minutes.

I love these people!, They are always there when I need them for anything when it comes to my pets. Even the girls at the front desk are very helpful with questions or concerns I have about my dogs. They all get a 5 star from me.

I have taken my pets to Animal Medical Services for many years. The veterinarians and all of the staff have always been so good to my pets, caring for them as if they were their own. I've had to call them on the weekends for emergencies and at night, and they are always available to me. I cannot imagine taking my pets anywhere else and I encourage everyone I know who has pets to visit them. They take the time to thoroughly examine my pets and always recommend the best course of treatment for them. One thing about them all that really stands out is their compassion for all animals. It takes very special people to do what they do. The vets and staff at AMS are just that special. They have shed just as many tears as I have, when I lose a pet to age or disease. And they have many times stood by my side as I've told a beloved pet goodbye.
