I have always loved this Vet since moving from Dr. Greene's Practice when he passed. They are very kind and love my animals. Even when one of my dogs snuck out while I was out of town. Someone brought them to their office and the animal hospital nourished him with love and food. :) until a member of my family could get there. This last visit I felt like the one of the newer vets rushed and seemed rushed when I was asking more information. I even apologized stating I just want to make sure I cared for Him correctly. But she then stopped and explained even demonstrated. This office is busy every day with lots of traffic. I am sure its because they are the best in town. I wish they could expand to help with the chaos of visits. Sandra one of the receptionist is always super kind. I am super sad to see her go cause some of the other receptionist are so rude and moody. I'm sure dealing with the chaos of the traffic in the office doesn't help. This vet is highly recommend by me. There is always going to be places for growth. For me as a owner of my fur babies and the Animal Hospital as they continue to grow over the years. Thank you for all the love you have given to our animals in our county and out of our county.

Approximately 2-3 weeks ago I found a dog who had been hit on I-40 near Old Fort exit. Several Cars passed her by leaving her vulnerable to get hit yet another time. I was on my way to a meeting at McDowell Medical Assoc, but stopped and picked up this young adorable injured coonhound. I was given the # for Mercy Fund Animal Rescue who immediately made arrangements for me to bring her to Marion Animal Hospital. I was told that they would take care of her and they would try to find her owner. If no owner found they would make sure she was rehomed after her injuries were healed. I called about her today and she is doing well and now has a splint to heal her broken back leg. I cant thank this office and the helping folks at Mercy Fund animal rescue enough for saving this sweet baby. You all are amazing and I am telling all my coworkers to consider you all for charitable donations!!! BTW, I was able to attend my meeting at McDowell Medical Assoc. afterall.

Since both Dr's Owens came to McDowell County many years ago they have taken wonderful care of all our animals. 24/7/365 they have always made arrangements as needed to take care of us and gone above and beyond to be compassionate as well when our animals lives were near the end. Highly recommend.

They turned away my dog who had a bloody gashed leg because the doctor was eating lunch for another HOUR! The receptionist said he wasn't even there but that was a nice $50000-60000 car of theirs parked right out front. I'm glad your food is more important than taking care of my pet during BUSINESS hours. We took our baby elsewhere, where someone will actually care about her and not be rude as f*** to me from the get go.

We had just adopted a dog from the shelter who had been diagnosed with demodex. She had just gotten a skin scrape test to confirm it right before we adopted her. We brought her to this vet to get medication, showed them the papers we had from adopting her which showed she was already diagnosed, and told them we just needed medication. They bring her to the back room and scrape her even more in the same place she had already been scraped. That obviously costed money that we did not need to spend. Then when they handed us the medication at the desk, they snuck a packet of flea medication in the bag and had us pay for it without even mentioning it. We already had flea medicine. We had to pay for two things that were completely unnecessary. How can everyone be so nice then sneak and do stuff like this?

Dr John and Jennifer are the only vet in Mc Dowell country. That I could say that LOVE'S THEIR JOBS AND THE ANIMALS THAT THEY TREAT.

Wonderful vet. He takes time to explain things to you and even prints out documents and facts related to issues with your pet. Very friendly staff also.

Dr John is the best! All the folks are friendly and they are wonderful with my pup and my parents pups. Wait can be a bit long at times, but this is usually a result of emergencies that come in and is totally acceptable. Best vet in Marion.

So kind to all our fur babies. They have worked dental miracles on a bunny I rescued from the pound and take great care of our crazy cats. Always reasonable in pricing and discuss the options before committing to a plan of action. Their support nurses and office staff are super. I drive 30 minutes from Black Mountain and it is well worth the trip. So glad someone recommended them to me!
