Awesome guy, great prices, quality food! I got the Wholey Maki. The only thing that could be better is if he had another person who could handle the money since he’s working with all the food.
Most people look for sandwiches and beer when visiting Pittsburg but I was in search for good local restaurants and fresh fish. I happened to be walking by the Robert Wholey & Co Fish Market and stepped in to see what was inside. Along side all the beautiful fish was an adorable and tiny area as you walk in called Andy’s Sushi Bar. The space is quite small with jut enough room for him to stand in but the flavors and love this man has in his food couldn’t be bigger! Andy made me several kinds of sushi and I was blown away by it all. Andy said he has been making sushi for over 30 years and you can believe it. His creations are perfection and packed full of yummy delight. I can’t wait to come back to Pittsburgh and have more!
Andy is awesome. He will hook you up with the special of the day and you should accept it if you know what is good for you. The fish if FRESH and so is the sushi chef. Best experience. Go. Enjoy.
Definitely my go-to if I have the time. Fish is obviously fresh, Andy sometimes will give you an appetizer while you wait for people who order sushi for the whole office. The special rolls are huge. He's truely an artist when it comes to some of the flavor combinations. Not very flashy, hardly garnished, but dang it's good. Strip district sushi at it's finest.
Absolutely delicious sushi! Decent menu, very reasonable prices, friendly service, and portions are even a bit larger than expected. A must try!
Note: Due to popularity and the business being ran by one person, lines and wait can be long.
Amazing sushi and very fresh. Andy is super nice and fun to watch. Reccomend to anyone who wants the market place feel.
My favorite sushi. We live in Morgantown, WV. Every time on Pittsburgh we get Andy's sushi.
Best sushi in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas, Andy is a Master at making sushi
Place is awesome! He does his own sauces and Mackerel and a bunch of other stuff. Always fresh and delicious.
Amazing expirence when I go there. First time in Pittsburgh was during Anthrocon and I had my boyfriend take me there cause he reccomended that I try it. I was not disappointed in the least. The portions were just the right size for what I paid and the quality was outstanding. Truely the best sushi in Pittsburgh.
The freshest, tastiest sushi I've ever had. As stated by basically every other review, the sushi is fresh, reasonably priced, and looks fantastic. Highly recommend you ask him to make you his favorite sushi- it won't disappoint at all.
