I love this place, its a small and cozy restaurant, where food is so good that you could think is homemade. One of my favorites for Cuban food.

We were looking for a Cuban restaurant during our visit to San Diego and we found this gem. Combo appetizer platter gave a little of something to try. Portions were perfect. So much to choose from.

It is my favorite restaurant to dine esp. since opening in the early eighties. I recommend Andres as I'm sure you will enjoy the cuisine as well as the warm atmosphere and music.

Best Cuban food in San Diego. Being Cuban myself, I have such a hard time finding real authentic Cuban food, but whenever I go to Andres', I feel like I'm eating my grandmother's delicious cooking. I especially love the yuca frita, yuca con mojo, arroz con pollo, and the Cuban sandwich, but it's all delicious!

This is great Spanish food.. my favorite is the yucca and just about anything they pour the garlic Mojo on turns into a fanatically flavored dish. Order the fish sautéed in garlic and spices. It came with two pieces of fresh and delicate salmon filletsabroso!! we enjoyed the Monday night special with a yummy bean and ham soup..mmmm. I always make these kinds of meals at home, so I love the fact that my kids can enjoy the food at Andrés and I don't have to do the dishes!! Wepa!!! This is the home away from home for many of us.. lots of military grace these tables hoping to get some of Mama's cooking and always pleasantly served! Thank you to the great staff who refilled my coffee to my heart's content:)
