I bank with First Merit but recently I had to use Andover banks atm machine I forgot to grab my bank card when I pulled away from the atm. Andover banks atm security settings allowed for it to be re-accepted and dropped it into a tray which is exactly what is suppose to happen however if you use a atm from a bank other then your own it is every banks policy to send the debit card out to be destroyed! I think this is extreme and rude! In my case I was lucky enough to have someone from Andover bank return my card to my First merit bank and I was able to retrieve it. I feel this is a banking policy that needs changed and not just here at Andover but any bank who's policy is to destroy the property of others without thought to the repercussions it may have on the owner.
