The rooms are small which is okay one of the beds is rock hard like a boxspring the other one is comfortable. Unfortunately for a family of four they only give you two towels which I don't understand. But other than that it seems pretty good. 01 other major major flaw is there are no outlets in the room. One of the lights is plugged into the only Outlet available so you only have one plug so if you do visit and stay here definitely bring a surge protector. The other stupid thing is that the bathroom outlet is switched with the light switch which I think is against electrical code. So last night we had a sleep with the bathroom light on and the door closed so that my wife could charge her phone. Will update this as soon as we finish our stay here. Hopefully we can get more towels hahaha

It is an amazing motel for the price clean rooms, bathrooms, and beds. One of the best motels I've ever been to it's also only 1.5 blocks away from the shore

We stayed in room 14, it can accommodate up to 8 people, I believe. Truly is just a room with 4 beds and a futon. The owner was very nice. The room was outdated. However when we need extra towels the staff was accommodates us. After check out we were able to leave our car there. There was a pool and it was very clean.

Great location and reasonable price. Shower curtain had mildew on it and the towels were damp. AC and fridge works great and the bed was really comfy. The man working here this weekend was accommodating and a total sweetheart.

Friendliest staff of any hotel I've stayed. Very impressed with the beautifully updated rooms and even more impressed with the doormen and front desk staff. Wish I could have stayed longer. This will definitely be my go-to for any future stay in Birmingham

The building itself is dated. The rooms are cramped and the beds could be more comfy. The staff was very friendly and everything we needed was there. Close to the beach and not bad for a one night get away.

Great price, clean room. Bathroom is small, needed a shelve so there was a place to put things. Owner was very nice, will stay there again.

We had no hot water in the shower and nothing but hot water in the sink. Other than that the room wasn't too bad. You get what you pay for.

Just tried booking a room at the Anchor Motel. It was for my daughter and her friends, so it was last minute and all of the better motels were booked. I called and was told that they had 1 double room left. Their website shows the room is $159/night. The woman who answered told me she could do it for $299/night plus tax. I hung up. I called back and the man who answered told me that since he has 1 room left, he raises the price and defended that insanity by explaining that the website states that "prices are subject to change" (which it does). What a joke!! If you have ever seen this motel, you will know exactly how funny $299/night is. Horrible business practices.

Cleanest hotel I've been in at seaside and nice staff. Small room and bathroom but that's most hotels
Anyway. Tv was nice and had good channels. Good place for a weekend stay. I think the price was reasonable
