Gorgeous building chocked full of excellent mountaineering resources. The displays are informative, interesting and well built. The mountaineering library is richly appointed with journals, guides, history and manuals. The staff in the library are knowledgeable and very helpful.

I was in their building on two different occasions and saw and heard loud dogs in the hallways and offices. When I asked about it I was told dogs were allowed even though they sometimes sh** on the floors. Definitely not a place to do business in!

There's a great self-guided tour here with a suggested donation for entering that showed a cool history of mountaineering and had a great scale model of Everest and surrounding Peaks. There was a Groupon that made it much cheaper when we went

This review is more about the CMC group that often works out of this building they're incredible. Very welcoming, knowledgeable + just fun to be around. Great organization to look into of you're looking for outdoor education + training.
