  BED BUGS.. . CHECKED IN SATURDAY THE 8TH OF OCTOBER AROUND 8 P.M. DIDN'T UNPACK BAGS BECAUSE WE WANTED TO GO OUT AND EAT AND WALK AROUND TOWN BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE CAME BACK TURN BACK THE COVERS FLIPPED OVER THE PILLOWS AND FOUND A BED BUG ON A PILLOW. TOOK THE PILLOW TO THE MANAGER AND HE WAS NICE BUT GOT A REFUND AND LEFT HAVE PICTURES AND VIDEO PROOF. BUT A NICE PLACE IF THEY GET RID OF THE BUGS.

  It's newly changed owners and Craig at the front office was wonderful he really made our stay nice. The room was clean. It's an older hotel so don't expect luxury but it was a very good experience! We will be back thanks Craig!!

  We basically just needed a place to crash for the night so we didn't want to pay for anything fancy. This place was perfect, far nicer than we expected! We walked to town and enjoyed the sites and dinner and walked back easily. The room was set up and cold for us on arrival and the man at the front desk was super friendly. Sure, the place could use some fix ups, but the room was clean, the shower was hot and the bed By far the most comfortable hotel mattress we've ever slept on. We will definitely be back some day!

  Very nice and friendly staff first time we stayed we were welcomed like they head known yes for years! Had room ready at ac on waiting for us! Pool very clean and nice! Returned a weekend later and same friendly service and very nice clean rooms got here late and did not have a hard time getting someone up for service! Love this place will be staying here from now on! Love Craig and the cleaning crew they are the best and are doing a wonderful job fixing the place up!

  Clean room, the desk clerk was very helpful and friendly. He knew who I was before I had to tell him and was eager to help us get In our room. Even had the a/c on blast when we got in. They take cash here and that's a big plus for last minute adventurers like myself. First time ever coming to Helen and glad I chose this place. Affordable, clean, hospitality and creature comforts all get 5 stars in my book. Don't expect the Hilton but it's top notch for a family owned hotel!

  My parents managed this hotel for about a year it was so fun to help them clean and everything. They were oh so very nice to everyone and helped every single person that asked for anything. If you don't think that they did a great job well that is okay. People that are used to doing something else don't start doing everything perfect in a job that they have not even done before. They moved back to Rome Georgia and now are running a hotel over there. The Alpine Valley Inn is and forever will be the best place to stay in when you are visiting Helen Georgia. Good Job Chris and Shelley Eaton!

  Decided to give this hotel a try and I wasn't disappointed. The new management is very polite and friendly. Will definitely return in the near future

  Great location. New owners & I believe renovation is still underway. Very nice staff. New TVs, mini refrigerators, & microwaves. Complaint was that there wasn't extra TP in the room & I had to go get some from the office. Then there was no coffee maker in any of the rooms which would have been fine because the office serves coffee (or is supposed to) in the mornings, but on Sundays they don't open until 8 & this Sunday, they still weren't open come 9, so we checked out early & went for coffee & breakfast. Sucks because I always look forward to morning coffee especially on vacation, but hopefully that is just something on their list still to purchase for the rooms. There is a gas station a walk away & a Huddle House right around the corner if you have a coffee addiction like me & the office is closed. Will try again but will give plenty of time to complete renovations.

  we have never been to Helen, Georgia before. wasn't sure about the motel because it's kinda small and not a top name. we stopped, my husband talked to the NEW OWNERS, got back in was telling me how nice and friendly they are, so we decided to stay. the motel rooms were very clean and tidy. the beds they have are amazing, one of the most comfortablest I've even slept in. lots to do in town, and my husband was right, very nice and friendly people. the rate we got was amazing also. I'd definitely sayGIVE THEY ARE TRY
