I think that people should think before they speak. Especially when speaking from ignorance and an uneducated point of view. Posting negative reviews that can affect someone’s business and livelihood simply because you failed to do due diligence is a reflection on who you are not who the person you are critiquing is. How does your failure to educate yourself become her fault? How does your failures constitute an emergency on her part? Yet rather than research laser hair removal and the types of lasers used for the Various types of skin you drive to the professional hair removal center and demand treatment. Jennifer Amundsen is beyond professional and oh by the way successful for a reason. It takes a real professional to put the safety and care for for the patient above the financial gain they’d receive for the service. Money is money and it has no race or gender. So please stow the black race card. Do you know anything about her personally before that dreck falls out of the mouth? Do you know her family? How presumptious to label her and her business in that way. You make it about the color or your skin. Sounds to me That you didn’t get your services for free. You didn’t get removal services on the spot which by the way a waiting period exists after tests of the skin are performed up to 72 hours before the actual work can be done and result are back. But rather than be grateful for how professional this office is you reward them by posting an inept unqualified opinion through a review. Passive aggressive much? Own that you lashed out like a child rather than extend sincere gratitude to the center and owner for caring about your health and safety first. Jennifer is incredible kind, and driven because she cares. Patients come first. All of her clients extend that gratitude to her because she cares. She could have easily taken you money and prayed the laser would not burn your skin. But she opted to do the right things rather than what was easy. It’s not en episode of cops. Not everything needs to scream racism. You use it as a crutch and no one cares.

I basically was told because I'm African American and have brown skin I can't be treated, I guess I should've told you I was black over the phone. Wasted my time and gas, coming from 45min away. Invest in a better laser for all people, truly makes you look bad. I would give you NO stars if I could. I feel really odd, why have a facility that treats removal services but only for white, fair skinned people??? I'd feel pretty terrible standing by the door seeing a potential patient thinking "oh darn she's black". I feel for you because I can accept it and move on, however somebody might take this to the news, especially in this time we're living in. You can't single out one group to service.

Truly one of the best experiences I have had using Groupon. Jennifer is extremely knowledgeable and takes her time going over the process to make you feel at ease and explains how many sessions you will be needing to get the desired treatment. I highly recommend Jennifer, she is not only a true professional but is very personable and caring.

I have never been to a hair removal facility, so this was my first time. Jennifer was the best and I booked future appointments. She is very knowledgable and made me feel comfortable and she also took the time to answer my questions; you can see she cares about her clients. I will recommend her to anyone looking to have hair removed and her prices are the best around!

Beware of this place. Met Jennifer when she was doing a deal through Groupon. She insisted I come in and speak to her first. We agreed on a number of treatments - 3, the treatment areas, and a price based on the Groupon Sale she had going. During the 3 treatments, she was polite and personable, but she kept trying to push more treatments on me. I've had laser before, so I knew 3 treatments wasn't enough; however, I politely told her that her "regular" price was way out of my price range. When I spoke about my first experience with laser hair removal, she badmouthed the place where I initially went and tried to make her service seem superior. When the treatments ended, she tried to "force" me to purchase treatments at her "regular" price. When I refused, she called me a swindler - said that I'd cheated her out of money. She was the only Laser Hair Removal specialist close to my house, so 6 months later I tried to go back, apologize, and see if we could work something out. I was even prepared to bring her 5 new customers. She made me wait for almost an hour in her office while she "made nice" with a new client, just like she had with me. When that client was finally done and only after she'd left the office completely, did Jennifer rip into me - legit! Saying I was a cheat and a thief, and even threatened to call the police on me. It was, suffice to say, not a pleasant experience. Though Jennifer herself might be more than capable, she's greedy, rude, and unprofessional. I imagine she doesn't often let the "mask" she has on slip, so I'm not sure if I should take it as a complement that I managed to reveal how truly FAKE she is. All I can say is - BEWARE! 3 Treatments at a Groupon or Sale Price are not nearly enough to remove any significant amount of hair, and the cost of the remaining treatments could buy you well a decent used car, for example. Overall - Allure is NOT WORTH IT!
