Not a bad campground but is way too close to a very active railroad. All night train noise and HORN. Maybe if you are at rear of park it would be acceptable but I doubt they would give those sites to short timers.
Great spot except for the trains and they go thru 24 hours a day and night. Very popular and lots of kids. Gated entrance.
About the only day use area open the last weekend in Sept. My family and I had an absolutely wonderful day!! The ducks come right up to you, even the baby ones. So cute! And the front where you pay, they sell beer! That is awesome
Stayed at campground here.
Very clean, quiet, except for train noise.
Laundry facilities are excellent.
A little pricey.
My husband and I are full time Coachers and have stayed in RV parks across America. We stayed at Allatoona Landing R.V park for a month in August/September 2017. Beautiful Allatoona Lake was less than a minute walk from our RV slot, where you can swim, fish, paddleboard, kyak, boat etc. There was a fabulous historic battlefield less than a quarter mile away, with great hiking trails and lake views. The staff was amazingly accommodating. The bath house looks remodeled and is clean. There is a pool and playground for families.
We would absolutely stay here again.
And yes, there are trains!
This is a clean, well maintained campground. We are here now. We're on our way to Disney and decided to postpone check in and hope hurricane Irma passes. Will be here a few days. Nice place but nothing to do. Not much at the store. There's a train that comes by about every 20 minutes or so. They have a pretty nice pool. Clean bath house with showers. Showers have curtains, not doors. No sewer and very few cable channels and reception is awful.
Not worth the price they charge! No sewer on all but a few sites. Only receive about 1/2 the cable channels advertised on the campground handout and they didn't come in clearly. Trains go by frequently during the night and are very loud. The lake is pretty but that's about all this place has going for it. Won't be coming back.
Camped in an RV at Allatoona for only one night. Had to find a manager to be able to get the accommodations, however it was off season, so I completely understand. Once I received help, the management was quite helpful despite me not having made reservations. The bathroom houses were well maintained and the camp hosts were very courteous.
The woman named Star is amazing! The bald guys a dick. Thats about all I can say.
Knowing we were long term, did not clarify we could not stay past 30 days.
Did not tell us train passed by every 30 minutes less than 200 yards away!
Closed showers for a month right after we got there.
Forget the wifi even right next to office.
Would not allow me to check out my site until I paid them.
Oh, did I mention very pricey?
Enough said I believe.
The facilities are run down the wifi does not work at the campsites. For all power plant workers dont stay here u will get charged an extra 40 dollars for a night because u cant checkout before 1 pm. Management will not work with u on it .
My family and I frequent here regularly ( for the last 3 years) and have always been very pleased with the staff and the facility. We are always welcomed with very pleasant staff and are happy to say that we keep our boat there as well which makes it very convenient. In my overall opinion we couldn't be happier!
I recently visited Allatoona Landing, while visiting in Georgia. I was looking for a place to vacation in the summer where I could just sit back and relax. I visited the office to get information to plan my trip. I found the office staff to be very friendly, professional and extremely helpful in answering all my questions. Everyone was so helpful and took the time to talk to me and it made me feel very comfortable about staying there. We are hoping to come back when the weather is warmer Thank you Allatoona Landing Staff, hope to see you very soon.
