Very friendly and helpful staff with a wide range of items available that are priced competitively. Definitely worth the extra mile drive down Yadkin

We rolled up and these two dudes were outside sweeping the sidewalk and they looked like guilty cats until we got out of the car. This is probably because I have a dude who looks like a gigantic bear Leonidasy pole of terror. But once they realized we were human people, the hallucinationatory period ended and they were both chill AF. My dude got a Sure Fire something some thing and said a lot of words in the car later on about the price and also he said words that sounded like "you would find this in an infantry battalion, it went to all the wars and when I hear surefire that's the first light I think of, the surefire of my childhood". Also I took a hilarious selfie there which I would love to show you but its my face and y'all are some weird ass people out there, you know I know it, I'm looking at you, I see you. So I can't show you that selfie here, but there's great lighting for sure. Five stars especially for how helpful the two shady twitchy cats were. 💀

I went to this place to buy uniforms for a friend overseas. Prices were great but unfortunately, it's because I bought the wrong uniforms -- I bought ACUs instead of Multicams. This bothers me because I informed the cashier why I was buying the uniforms and the cashier even helped me search for the right size in t-shirts but it was never suggested that I recheck that I was purchasing the correct uniforms as ACUs are no longer in use.
Once I got home, I packed the uniforms up to send and showed my friend a pic when he called. That is when I was informed of the mistake. This is also when I found my receipt and realized purchases were exchange only. I went back the next day and exhanged for Multicams which I thought they were still a great price, but I've since found out that the Multicams I bought are actually the ones most get for free.
Frustrated with the whole situation.
2 of the 3 stars are ONLY because the staff were friendly and the exchange was easy.response / report this review -

Usually I don't go out of my way to give five stars for good service I should be receiving anyway, but I have to make an exception to my rules. All American is one of the best if not the best spot for military surplus, the owner is sick a great guy and will definitely go out of his way to make sure you walk out of there with what you came for, he's willing to work with you on the prices. I've already recommended this place to a lot of my subordinates. Great spot and awesome service.

Love this place, they really do have military personnel in mind. Went to trade something in for sone uniforms and gear and he gave me more then i expected for what i traded in and it even covered the bill on thw item's that i needed. Thank you. Defiantly will be shopping here again.

The owner Craig is very friendly and easy to work with. I was provided excellent customer service and was even given a great deal. I will definitely be shopping at this surplus store more often

Stopped in here looking for a Gen 3 Level 7 Jacket. Had them for $ 89 new. Walked out of there with one for $ 50. Guy cut me a deal just like that. Great selection. Reasonable pricing. Very attentive and likable staff. Will definitely go back.
