Fantastic! Staff was very attentive and gave personable service. Even played along with my parties shenanigans, which is saying a lot. Food was amazing, multiple people in my party said potentially best steak they ever had. Very hearty salad bar and generous on the sides in addition to steaks. Will be coming back every time I’m in Peoria.

If you like paying an extortionate amount of money for a mediocre grade of meat that you cook yourself or pay an extra $5 for a cook this is your place.
It is a good place for large groups. The staff/ waitresses are slow or try to cover to many.
The best part of the meal is the salad bar. Always fresh and with a good variety.response / report this review -

Alexander's has always been a favorite of ours. The food is great (especially the salad bar ) and your servers are always friendly and helpful. We couldn't ask for more. Also , now that I am using a walker, the elevator is wonderful. Thank you so much.

Where can I start with Alexander Steakhouse everything you have them cook is perfect the fish and some of the best in Peoria I would even go as far to say they're better than the Fish House. Their steaks are always some of the best cuts while they might be one of the most expensive restaurants locally in Peoria they are definitely one of the top. every meal here is worth every penny paid I've never had bad service bad food. So if you have a family event a birthday or just a special dinner you want to share with a loved one call Alexander's get a reservation you won't be disappointed!

They just never disappoint. So delicious! Great specials on Sunday for dining before 6 p.m. I'm not much of a drinker but repeatedly hear from dining companions that they have the best Long Island ice teas of any place hands down. You can choose and cook your own steak over large wood fire grills inside the restaurant or have them do it for you. Note: there is a small fee if they cook your steak for you. Unlimited salad bar, baked potatoes, and Texas toast included with entrees. Highly recommended for good food. They lose one star for needing an interior update and bathrooms not as clean as would have expected.

This place never fails. Hands down the finest steaks around. Pricey for this area but you get what you pay for. The only negative was having to ask for butter and sour cream and receiving little of either. No huge deal, I didn't come for the potato. Salad bar is always well stocked and fresh. ( Though the greens could stand to be a little less wet )

Been here twice about when i come in that area i come here. Want to grill your own steak you can. Want someone else to cook for you no problem. Knowledgeable about their meat cooking medium rare what you want thats what you get.

Third time here and it never disappoints. Opted to have my steak cooked for me, but there are large grills so you can cook your own just how you like it, if you prefer. They cook mine to perfection each time so I just let them continue! Excellent salad bar as well. I've had the same server each time and he's just excellent, but all staff seem attentive to their tables. Can't wait for next time. There's a 3lb steak on the menu!!

Love this place. Stop by a couple times a year for special occasions and I'm never disappointed. The salad bar is top notch and the Long Island iced teas I could live on! They have a grill your own option but you can also ask them to make it any way you want (typically the route I go). Casual, laid back and great food.

Usually I'm not a picky eater, but when it comes to steak I tend to be more critical. Alexanders was average. Nothing about the steak or the atmosphere jumped out at me. From the great reviews I was expecting more!
The waitress screwed up our order twice, which I understand can happen at times but didn't help improve the experience at all. Good for large groups though, nice big tables! Pretty noisy on a Saturday evening, especially with the birthday cow bell ringing every 5 minutes.
For the price, I think it was very average. Not the best, but not the worst. Worth a try though if you are a real steak connoisseur.
NOT ideal for a romantic intimate date night, but more for large group or family night out.response / report this review -

Had friends in from FL. We all ate very well. Food was supurb. Our server Kristen just could not have been nicer or more efficient. Made us feel proud that we have such a high quality restaurant in our area.

Our first time visit was out of this world!! Michelle our waitress couldn't have been any more PROFESSIONAL.- POLITE - COURTEOUS AND AWESOME. THE FOOD?? MAN I'VE HEARD LEGENDS OF THE BEST STEAK HOUSES. NOW I KNOW WHERE IT IS. THANK YOU ALEXANDER'S FOR THE AWESOME SERVICE AND FOOD. OH! AND THE BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!!!!

Great service. Generally enjoy the atmosphere, though the room upstairs was pretty tight. Servers were very helpful. My steak was grilled perfectly, but several others at the table had steaks that were over. It was a birthday party and the host didn't want us cooking, otherwise we would have done our own.

I love coming here with my family. You can cook your own food and the steaks are always amazing. Be cautious, it is ALWAYS busy here but worth the experience.
