I've stayed here several times. It has a great location; right next to Birba (good drinks, cocktails, dinner) and Cheeky's (great breakfast and brunch) and a short walk to downtown. The pool is heated. The courtyard is great to sit and read in under the palo verde trees.
Rooms and beds are clean and comfortable, but won't win any design awards unless you like plain white. The hotel is a refurbishment (2011) over a previous one. It's quiet, except for near the restaurants, which can sometimes be a little boisterous. You won't find many kids here, not really the vibe.
If you are looking for a quiet place near good food and drink, and with a nice pool, this is a good spot.response / report this review -

Amazing amazing amazing place little piece of heaven beautiful rooms stunning view and poolside very relaxing lovely romantic atmosphere or if you just want to chill with a book stayed here 3 times and will continue to visit

Alcazar is an amazing piece of paradise to stay rooms are beautiful especially om 38 overlooking the pool white and serene brilliant chill out surroundings reception staff and manager friendly and very helpful stayed here twice and will be returning next year have sent friends and colleagues here when they have visited the USA

I really liked this place. It was a good combination of being close to the action but being quiet enough to be relaxing. I was there with my fiancee in June so it was very quiet and hot but the room was comfortable and cool.

Looks better in pictures online versus in reality. Staff is whatever; not warm or welcoming at all. Small intimate place, like the all white and restaurants with hotel are excellent. Wouldn't come back, but okay if nothing else is around.

The Alcazar was a surprise. The pool deck area was quiet, Spa'ish and not overcrowded. The grounds were very well maintained and had a nice open patio with a fireplace. The staff was very helpful. The rooms met expectations for this hotel and this price level and being a weekend. We had a King spa view with a patio.

This is nice 3 star hotel. It's in a great location and attached to two good restaurants. We have a baby so this was very convenient. The pool is clean and relaxing. Our king room with pool view was on the upper level although it looks like the majority of rooms are on ground level. The view from outside the room was a good one of the pool, palms and the mountains. The room is quite basic. The bathroom was dated. The bed was comfortable but there could have been more attention to cleanliness. Overall I think it was good value and would consider staying there again.

I was back after two weeks since I liked it so much. The second time, some friends joined us. The courtyard is stunning at night around the pool. Also, you can't get closer to town than this place. The staff was super pleasant and helpful. Can't wait to come back!
