We only stayed one night, but if time had allowed we'd have stayed longer. The location is perfect for the local restaurants and looks out over the park. The rooms and shared areas look like they have come out of a glossy magazine and were very comfortable and clean. Our hosts were helpful, friendly and welcoming - what more could you ask for.

A grand old Albany house, lovingly looked after. It's located by the park and the main street for a great selection of restaurants. The room was huge and beautifully presented as was the bathroom - think glossy magazine spread and you'll get the idea. Our hosts were helpful and attentive and we left wishing we had been staying more than just one night.

While most reviews were clearly for the main house, we were walked to the annex. Third floor room facing busy street. Incredibly loud. Very nice room, but by the end of your stay you'll know the music tastes of half the drivers in Albany and exactly what time the garbage trucks come into town (5am). Four stars because otherwise it's a pleasant stay, just be sure when you make your reservations you're not getting a room that faces Henry Johnson Blvd.

We did a corporate function here with 12 people the amenities were perfect Chuck and his team did an awesome job providing food and beverages throughout the day even offering suggestions where we can go for dinner, great place to have a relaxed corporate meeting.

Street noise is a significant problem with some rooms. The inn itself is very impressive and nice, however the room I got was not in this building but the apartment building at 399 State. This room was a good size and very nice but it also overlooked Henry Johnson Blvd which is a main thoroughfare for loud vehicles as well as frequent police and ambulances sirens. Not really the experience expected. Make sure you get a room that doesn't overlook Henry Johnson if you're not used to loud traffic all night.

We stopped here on our way to Maine for our honeymoon. We stayed in the main house and it was a very nice experience. The room was super cozy, the house had a beautiful vintage charm, and the staff was very kind and accommodating! I would recommend Morgan State House to anyone!

Absolutely loved everything about this place. You really feel like part of the history of this home. Walk down State Street looking at the posted placards with all of the original years that the buildings were built and you can imagine being part of that era. The staff was great, the room was comfortable, and the location was perfect. Hit the local Speakeasy after dinner for a true immersion in the early 1920's era, if, that is, you can find it.

This is a lovely inn. From the gorgeous facade overlooking the park to the stunning interior with the grand carved wood staircase and parlor rooms and garden.

We stayed in the library suite which is a tastefully appoined room with its own library where you can curl up with one of the many books or watch TV. I loved the eight panel doors throughout the building.

The highlight of our stay was the innkeeper Chuck. The consummate host! He's warm, friendly with fun stories and tips for where to eat. The neighborhood is well located and beautiful. i It's a short walk to restaurants, the Empire state plaza and the Hudson River.Definitely stay here and be sure to book directly through the inn's website.
