  Poorest service. Must leave a detailed message (including Social Security Number) and can only hope that a professional staff member listens to your private message and responds. I've worked for decades yet currently qualify for assistance with maintaining a heating fixture in a newly acquired building. It's only winter and a potential fire hazard. No big deal, I guess. My tax dollars not at work with Albany DSS.

  Nasty,Rude,Discrimination, will not help you if you are homeless and need any kind of Assistance and you have kids and coming from out of town. BEWARE of case worker Amanda M she is very nasty rude had my information and she still have you bring more information just to try and keep you from getting Assistance. BEWARETHEY HURT YOU MORE THEN THEY HELP YOU.

  Very Very nasty Rude in Person & Phone Social Workers there not there to help you Dont really understand how a state ran buliding can have so many bad comments and not be closed down Bye Bye Americas get Ready for every one to be homeless Fema camps here we come off with your head

  This is the worst place the rating should be 0 but goole has it setup to have a lease 1 star workers are not here to help you there rude and very unhelpful Out of towners Stay far far way they will give you the run around even if you are homeless It better to die on the streets before this place will help you Its Like walking in to Jail on your own free will

  Woman in need
  I have had a REALLY REALLY crappy experience dealing with this place and their workers.like many have stated.customer service sucks, when they make a mistake its ur fault an i DID GET ARRESTED. AND HAD TO PAY 3,000 for the trouble.
  Now here i am prepping for knee surgery and cant get no assistance because i have a disabled child who gets an income!!!!
  Have not had food stamps all month. They REALLY NEED TO LOOK INTO THE W.E.P. PROGRAM LIKE NYC.AND GET MORE PEOPLE TO ASSIST THEM.And try and call.no one returns calls

  Terrible services. It's nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone here. I've been providing daycare services for OVER 4 months and still haven't been paid. If I owed Albany County money for 4 months I would be in jail! Drop the double standard and pay people on time!!!

  We were treated unfairly and told that we can't be helped because my wife has only been in Albany for two weeks. Our worker Amanda .M told us we could receive help then told us the next day we can't be helped. I don't understand why would someone would be turned away when we pay taxes for services we can't receive. We are filing a complaint against the agancey.
