Really cozy atmosphere. Sometimes the theater itself has really good deals going on so it's worth checking out the app for. One of my favorite locations because it's downtown.
I loved the experience of ordering the food to the special shows this place show. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. If you like caramelized onion on the burger, try the fancy pants burger 🍔. It's amazing!
This 2-screen movie house is part of the fabulous Alamo Drafthouse movie theatre chain and the ONLY decent movie house in downtown. Enjoy great food and drink at reasonable prices while you watch a first run movie, or one of the Drafthouse's signature movie events like Master Pancake, Sing-A-Longs or a special screening of something unusual. You won't find a better move theater experience anywhere.
The Alamo is the best movie experience. Waiters come to your seat and take orders via note cards through out the movie. They always have movie themed food special and serve alcohol. They also hold special events and showings through out the week like master pancake, which is 4 stand up comics at the front of the stage making fun of older movies. It is quite hilarious.
I don't think it is possible to ever have a poor rating for any Alamo. I go often enough that if it was possible to receive poor service, I would have received it by now. This is not my usual Drafthouse, but this is the Alamo, and that means service is still exemplary, staff is awesome, food is hot, and the quote along was everything we expected.
The Alamo should be in every city across the state. One been going through and posting reviews today thanks to a prompt from Google. I've posted on several pages today and they've not all been great. I have been to the Alamo probably close to fifty times over my four years here in Austin and it is always a great experience. I've never had to speak to the manager or complain to my server or leave a bad review. They are consistently fantastic. You do you Alamo. You guys are great!
Clean and modern. Great seating. Excellent food. No cell phone policy. Great picture quality. Great sound quality. Gender neutral bathrooms. Special events. Good ticket price. This place is awesome.
The atmosphere at this theater is really unique. I really enjoyed the pre-show content. The seating was comfortable and I had a good experience with the exception of my food. I ordered fish and chips and the fries were overcooked and the fish seemed like it was re-heated after being frozen. It was about the worst fish and chips I have had. So go for the film and the atmosphere but forget the food.
My wife and I went on a date night to the Harrison Ford Pancake theater. Essentially it’s movie clips with comedians making jokes about them. It was a nice change from a regular movie. The show itself was almost sold out so we booked a balcony seat. The balcony seats are reclining love seats. The seat were comfortable and the staff was great!
Excellent customer service. Excellent food. Excellent atmosphere. Best movie theatre of all time
Very impressed

10/10
We love alamo! Food is always good, good shakes and excellent selection of beers, good service. I would give it 5 stars if they update their sound system, it's a bit old and you can hear it. Other than that it's always a great place to enjoy a movie with good food and service!
food was cold. and the place hated men. loved it all in all tho movie was good and the seats had gum on them. pretty sure some guy was getting "taken care of" in the back.
Love Alamo! Best place for people who love films to go see movies in the area. Good food and drinks, lots of special events, good responsive staff.
This place was awesome! You sit in an assigned seat and place orders for delicious food and awesome alcohol on paper with pen. The waiters come by virtually unseen and fulfill your order. I'm not kidding when I say I didn't even see them bring my stuff one time! I just magically had water and new beers. GET TICKETS EARLY. The theaters are small (there's only 2) and they fill up fast.
Wanted to book tickets for my family to see WW on opening night. Was told my son and I would be "refused entry because we were male, but my wife and daughter would be allowed entry". I was also told that they would "have a bad-ass on the door" to prevent men from buying tickets and entering. I'm astonished that this is the type of behavior that a modern cinema resorts to in order to make a political statement. Well as of this moment, my family will be avoiding all Alamo Drafthouse screenings from here on in. My children need to understand that sexual discrimination in any form in unacceptable.
