First time here, service was prompt and fast. The lobby is very friendly and warm. The food is very good, flavorful. More traditional than westernized Japanese food.

We really wanted to try a new sushi restaurant! We found this little gem on Google and we loved it! We tried the Fire Cracker (spicy), the Pink Lady and the HoneyMoon roll. All were great! We also tried the spicy ramen with pork, tasty!

Sushi was the best. High quality, professionally put together, and soooo good! WSU roll, was the best flavor in sushi I've ever eaten and the creativity and originality was bar none. Thank you for a wonderful meal. Cannot wait to go back.

We just found this place and I would recommend it to anyone.. I love the sushi here.! But was SO DISAPPOINTED the last time i went cause i had ordered take out and i had to wait 45 minutes after ordering to pick up..

Great selection of Japanese and Korean foods. Good service and comfortable atmosphere. I recommend the sundubu jjigae and ddeokbokki ramen.

I've had a lot of sushi all over and who would of thought I'd find this little gem of a place less than a mile away, amazing if not the best negi-hamachi I've had! sush great service, food and experience love this place.

Delicious Sushi.

The menu is excellent and when you sit at the sushi bar, the chefs will make you anything you want. When I leave the choices up to the chefs, I'm never disappointed.

Best sushi in Dayon. After living in Hawaii for 4 years and visiting Japan, I can't stand sushi at most places I visit. Akashi was a pleasant surprise as everything I've tried has been great. Now before you let your expectations get too high, remember; you're in Ohio. Many of the rolls are fried/tempura, covered in sauce, or have non-traditional Americanized elements to them that infuriate the sushi snob. They've got to appeal to their local customer base, and no you really can't get world-class sashimi in Dayton. But what they do have is great, and there enough traditional roll choices to appease almost anyone. My personal favorite is the Tropical Roll with toasted coconut flakes Creative and delicious.

Absolutely one of my favorite places for *traditional* sushi. I've been here maybe a half dozen times. The place is always busy on Fri/Sat nights. The last time we ate there though the service was 1-Star. I hope this is not the new normal. The food was still excellent but it was not timed well. There were 5 of us eating and we all got our meals at different times over a 40 minute period. I watched my Deluxe Sashimi combo sit at the sushi bar to be delivered to me for 15 minutes. It was not good.

This is my first time having sushi here in Ohio. I'm originally from Colorado and my husband and I always went out for sushi. I didn't think any place could compare to the sushi in Colorado. Well my husband deployed and it's just me and my 14 month old daughter. I decided to have dinner tonight and I was absolutely impressed with the service and food. The waitstaff are all so friendly and the food blew my mind. Best experience as far as restaurants I've been to here in Ohio.

Absolutely LOVE this place! We go here for every anniversary, birthday, etc the sushi is amazing and I love the cozy environment. We have NEVER had a bad experience here. Plus the prices are definitely easy on the wallet compared to other sushi bars in town.
