Fabulous from appetizer to dessert! We came on a Saturday night and arrived a half hour before our reservation so we could get drinks at the bar. Crowded but we only had to wait a couple minutes for our drinks and the bar staff was friendly. We will definitely visit here again!

We came in for Sunday brunch and to watch the game. The food was outstanding and the service was fantastic. To start with the sweet bread with brown sugar was just delicious
The lobster salad was light, fresh and you get a half lobster, legs and a claw. Fresh and tasty! The crab cakes were just as good, large and cream (full of crab not filler). There is a great wine by the glass list and the option of a big or small glass which is nice. Coffee was also on point. All in all it was a wonderful brunch and we will defiantly be back.response / report this review -

Outstanding food and service!! Well worth the price. Highly recommend the Thanksgiving menu. Everything was perfectly seasoned. The rolls that come with all meals are "to die for"!!

Tim is a fantastic server. I dined alone and did not order a large meal. Tim was extremely attentive and decided my portion of lobster was too small, so he came back with extra. Food and wine were delicious. A great place to have a quiet meal

We are in town visiting from Seattle. It took me forever to decide on a steakhouse, until I decided to go with one that isn't so new and modern. Your steakhouse had a great old, classy feel, interior, atmosphere. Our server was fantastic and great with wine recommendations. Great wine glass list with lots of cabs to pick from! The bus boys were hard working but there only appeared to be 2 or 3 of them, so we were slightly disappointed in how long it took for our table to get cleared. Out server actually had to clear our table himself. But the food was incredible: bread, Caesar salad, and a perfectly-cooked, big, juicy ribeye! The steak was probably the best I have had, if not Top 3 (and my list is extensive). And I saw everyone ordering the giant slice of chocolate cake for dessert, but it looked so big! Luckily, it was my birthday and we received a complimentary smaller sized piece of cake and ice cream, and that cake was amazing too! If you want a true classy and vintage steakhouse experience in Boston, this is it! Ignore all those boring modernized places.

The bread is excellent, the right combination of warm, and buttery. I like the outdoor seating for a nice mid afternoon lunch. Definitely on the pricier side for food, sandwiches were around 15-18$ but they were tasty

This place is phenomenal. Our waiter Jeff knew the menu inside and out and was very personable and a very likable guy.
The 24 oz. ribeye was cooked to perfection.
I'd recommend the house salad also. The combination of fillers in it with the dressing made this salad a hit.
The atmosphere was great and not too loud.
I couldn't find anything bad to say about this place if I tried.response / report this review -

A classic steakhouse menu. I felt like the restaurant is super overhyped. I've eaten at much better steakhouses even chain steakhouses. For the quality of the food I feel like it is overpriced as well. I don't mind paying premium prices for the best steaks, however I didn't feel like these are worth the price. Tried the pork chop and it was good. Didn't have a bad experience but just feel like the reputation of the restaurant does not match up with the food I received. The service was pretty good, but again not up to par with other steakhouses that I've been to.

If you love thick juicy steak and dark mahogany, whiskey filled air this is the place to go! Professional waitstaff is ready to tell you everything you want to know about the menu, how to pair your meal with wine and make sure that you receive the best fine dining experience in Boston. You can't really go wrong with their tried and tested menu and generous portions.

Spectacular food, service that is second to none! I was totally in the mood for steak but when I got there the gent next to me at the bar had a mouthwatering seemed of halibut, Cajun style with pineapple mango salsa! I couldn't resist and was so glad I didn't!! Hats of the the chef and their amazing staff!!

RUINED MY MOTHER'S DAY. VERY UNACCOMMODATING. GAVE NO NOTICE TO MODIFIED BRUNCH TIMES
I have been going to this restaurant for years, it has been a Mother's day tradition of ours. This year I made brunch reservations well in advance but upon arrival I learned that the brunch times were shortened. Our reservations were for 2:30 and brunch usually goes until 3. I spoke to the manager and the server about how I had made reservations for brunch and really was not planning on eating dinner at 2:30. I was dismissed even though I had specifically said that I was making reservations for brunch. I had 2 family members included in our party who NEVER EVER come into the city and they specifically came in because I raved about the brunch I was and still am very disappointed that I was not told ahead of time about the changed menu and more so I am unhappy by the way were were treated. The waiter was annoyed because we took a while to order (dinner at 2:30).. I was hoping for at least an amazing entree.. just average. I am very very disappointed. Not going back anytime soon. There are WAY better restaurants in and around the city. Don't waste your money at this place.response / report this review -

after had lobster two days in a row in legal seafood, we went to Abe unplanned because the restaurant next door just full. man, what a surprise. the 2lbs was so fresh, tender and juice. WAY better than legal seafood. also had sea bass which was also amazing! the best sea bass I had in years. the services are all around 5-star as well even though they were very busy. it's a little bit pricy, but you got what you pay for. definitely will re-visit again. highly recommended.

Speaking only for my own experience here, but we came in a couple hours before close on a Thursday night and planned on only getting dessert and a drink because it was late--figured it wasn't rude because it was well past dinner time. The dessert was reasonably good. The service was offensive, not because it was sloppy or slow, but because upon asking about getting a table for dessert, the host literally rolled his eyes and hardly said anything to us, even though the restaurant was practically empty so it wasn't a loss for them to seat us. The waiter showed little attention. I've never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant. Price was way more than felt worth it, but wasn't unexpected in Back Bay.
