I am never coming here again. I was given a ticket to see Star Wars The Last Jedi, and I didn't know it was a child's ticket. Went to the booth to get it ripped, and there is an employee that totally made a scene about my ticket being a child's ticket. He was very rude and the scene was unnecessary. I understand that he needed to give my ticket to guest services so I can pay the difference for an adult ticket, but how he handled it was completely unprofessional and annoying.
Most of the employees were rude and nasty throughout my entire experience there last night. I've been going here for years, but I am not coming back ever.
Look, we pay $11 for recliner seats.
The wall curtains are cut up like some crackhead was looking for turkey in Dracula's castle. The seats were regular small seats with ZERO leg room. I got lucky in theatre 12, seat R8. The seat right in front of me was broken and constantly banning into my knees, crushing my legs as soon as the person in front of me at down. I had to watch the entire movie awkwardly folded up in this chair half cross legged. Add into that $6 Waters and you have quite the disaster.
Don't waste your money here.
Sorry to say but this use to be my favorite theatre. It was definitely a 5 star experience when it opened. Unfortunately I have watched the stars dwindle down between 1 and 3 stars. On a good day. I still make the attempt to frequent it once in awhile in hopes that the theatre owners or management would take charge to help turn it around once again in perhaps training their employees, set a standard of exceptance, take charge and hire security that aren’t intimidated by the patrons if someone is disrupting a positive movie experience for the majority of your ticket holders for the $$$ that is being charged. Perhaps hire one person who’s only job would be keeping the lobby in tact, free of discarded container, spilled popcorn and used napkins, not to mention sticky floors. I’m still hopeful, UNLESSit’s all about the $$$.
Movie theatre not bad at all. Comfortable seats though not recliners were good. You can't beat the evening movie price. For seniors is 6.49. is an excellent theatre with at least one show you won't see elsewhere nearby. I hope it doesn't close.
The crowd and the cleanliness of the theater are my two biggest complaints. The movie watchers don’t know how to be quiet when watching a movie. You can’t go five minutes without someone blurting something out or laughing at serious moments throughout the movie. As far as the upkeep of the theater, most of the time I walk into the theater and there’s wrappers or cups in the cup holders and the seats are always sticky. All in all only go here if you have no other choice
I give manager and staff A zero, this is the movie from HELL- customer service is Zero.
I am disrespected as a premier member every week, I am told to get out of the premier member line in order to be served and then I am charged. I am charged from $ 7 to $15 for the same medium popcorn and icee as a premier member.
The staff flirting with my date and the manager do nothing.
I have been locked out of the movie twice before the movie starts, the doors are locked violations Michigan Fire Code!
Horrible and I believe that this is the worst movie in the world!
This company must be going out of business with this horrible customer service and horrible manager. Because it's evident that the company doesn't do nothing about the customer complaining about bad customer service and mistreatment.
I think that I will get me a fire stick!
Worst experience I've ever had at a theater. Spent over $100 for 4 to see Spider-Man in 3D. Drove a ways to get there since they were the only ones still showing it in 3D. The tickets were $44 and the rest was spent on small snacks. It took them over 20 min to get our pretzel bites which I paid more than $6 each. The workers were moving at a snails pace. The movie was supposed to start at 9:30 pm. We barely got our food in time. We got to our theater, the chairs were uncomfortable and tight and nothing was playing on the screen, not even advertisements. We waited about 15 min and one of the guests left to tell someone that nothing was on the screen. They turned it on but then we had to sit and watch 45 min worth of commercials. The lights finally dimmed at 10:30 and they showed several previews. Finally the movie started and to my amazement it WASN'T IN 3D!!!! Couldn't find any manager as we were leaving. I will be calling tomorrow.
This place is terrible. Food court is small, staff is rude and pretty stupid. The seating arrangements suck and you have to be 21 and over to watch a movie past 5pm??? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life.. doesn't affect me since my husbands 21 but the rule itself is retarded. So you can watch a rated R movie smoke. and rent ur own apartment pay bills and do everything but not watch a movie past 5pm. That's stupid I'm sorry.
Even after reading the bad reviews I decided to come here to see a movie because it was my last day in town during my vacation. I'm sorry to say it's all true. From the moment you open the door to when you sit down on your seat, it is filthy. The seats had stains. And I could tell that with just half the lights on during previews! I felt uncomfortable sitting there throughout the movie. It was making me itchy. The design inside is nice and it's huge. It would look nice if cleaned on a regular basis. On the plus side, my movie looked and sounded good.
I've been to Star Fairlane a few times and never really had a great experience, but my recent visit was worth posting about. First, it was insanely busy and there weren't enough employees working the ticket booth and concession stand to accommodate the crowd, but there were about 10 employees standing around the help desk chatting. Second, the whole building was littered with popcorn and the floors were sticky with soda all the way from the front lobby to the seats in the theatre. Third, my movie experience in general was hindered by constant movement of people going in and out and pushing my seat, multiple talking and sometimes screaming children with passive parents (it was a maturely rated movie) and a drunk walking in over an hour into the movie shining a flashlight at the screen as well as filming and taking pictures with their sound on. I know I can't hold a theatre accountable for the patrons, but there was nothing done about the disturbances by the staff. I requested a refund from a staff member, but I asked too late in the movie to get one. The employee was kind and understanding and provided two free passes to any AMC theatre, but I won't be coming back to Star Fairlane.
If I could give this place negative stars, it would be too many. We pre-purchased tickets so we wouldn't have to wait in line, but there is so much congestion when you walk in, you still wait. We tried waiting in line for snacks, after 2o minutes, we had to give up so we didn't miss the movie. The floor was so sticky in theater 12, my boot came off my foot as I walked to my seat. The smell. It was so overwhelming. The lights didn't dim until the movie started and came back on when there was still 10 minutes left. This theater needs new management!
I don't normally write reviews but this place was so disgusting that I had to. The only reason we came here was because we had free movie tickets.
We walk in the front door and it seemed dark and dirty but just kind of blew that off until we walked thru the next door way to get snacks. There was 3 employees total in the theater working and the snack stand was dirty and disgusting. The prices for snacks and pop are way more than any where else I've been. But we got popcorn and pop anyway and went to our show. We walked into the room and it smelled, was dirty and just plain disgusting.
It doesn't even deserve one star but I can't rate it anything less. This wasn't worth the free movie ticket I got. Absolutely disgusting! I'd never come back here again!!!
I don't normally rate or review things, but I am from out of town and wanted to see a movie. So I did what everyone else does. I opened up Google maps and found the one closest to my hotel. Every time I go somewhere I read the reviews and take them with a grain of salt well not this time. This hands down is the grossest, filthiest, smelliest theater I have ever been. There is popcorn everywhere I mean everywhere. It smells like homeless and cigarette butts all over the floor. The employees don't care what so ever. The one who gave us our tickets was talking on his cell phone. The people at the customer service desk was talking about how one of them "loves 'dem white girls"etc. I am not sure if corporate does visits, but this is a good one to come. nasty seriously do your self a favor and go do something else.
I find it that every since I found out about AMC Star Fairlane 21 house, I've been constantly going here for movies over AMC Van Nessa or Metronome. The concept of being able to eat a full fledged meal, have a beer, and relax is a lot more appealing than the typical movie experience. It was nice to be able to also select seats ahead of time so that when entering the theater you don't have to look around for a group of seat openings that would fit you and your group of friends.
