we loved it, just the way it was! I will be sorry to see it become all updated and fancy. We love old world Florida and "A Place to Be" was perfect!

Rooms were very outdated. The furniture definitely needs to be replaced But the price was good. The AC includes window units in each Room. The rooms were very large which was nice for our family of 5. The deck of the pool was new and very nice and the pool chairs were new but the water was heated too much to enjoy. Access to the beach was awesome. It was a very short walk. We used their gas barbecue grill which was very nice for dinner There were 3 grills 1 gas and 2 were charcoal in a nice grilling area. The wet slips in the back where very Nice so you can bring your Boat . The woman at the front desk seemed bothered By us when we checked-in And sent us to the wrong Room But the woman that came later in the evening To handle the front desk was very nice . The beds were comfortable .

My family is huge. We rented three rooms for my dads birthday for memorial weekend and everyone complained about us the entire weekend. They are very racist with hispanics and we had 6 people sleeping in each room and wanted to charged us for having so many people. I mean, the experience was horrible and definitely not understanding at all that when you are in vacation you obviously go to have a great time.
They complained about our Spanish music but then blasted Country music that same night and were being loud even after 10pm. When we did the check out we were told we weren't welcomed again and to be honest we weren't even planning to recommend the place or even book there again, the place seemed to be in great spot and close to everything but it was outdated. One room had appliances that didn't work and didn't care to fix or replace it. Definitely the ones that are not welcoming is the manager who sells herself as a nice understanding blonde lady and is the most racist of all.response / report this review -

Dirty, rundown and uncaring staff. Booked 6 nights and left after 2 horrible nights. No Internet service the whole time. Night stand light kept flickering on and off due to a lousy wall receptacle. No other ones could be used since there weren't any on same wall. 1930's electric the way it's laid out. Don't bother staying here, plenty of better places nearby.

Cutest place EVER! Stayed there in August. Huge room ! We loved the outdoor areas, especially the grills available! We WILL be back soon !

This place is AWESOME., very clean rooms and grounds. It has a beautful little pool, which is a must when we stay at any hotel and for sure if we're at the beach. There are gas grills and they were very clean. There is a canal in the back for boats. The beach is across the street which you have beach access. Nellie is the manager, and very nice, it took us minutes to check in. We will definately be back to stay. Thank you for the hospitality.
