  My husband came to scrap some copper he got from work (HVAC technician) They asked for proof that he does AC as if his big work van with the company in bold letters wasn't enough. He told them nevermind but they insisted he showed them proof. So he went home got his EPA license, came back and they weight out all his stuff. Which was about 500$ worth of copper. Went to the cashier to get his money to find out they have a 250$ cash limit. But wait! Here's the funny part. He only received 11$ total and was told the rest would be mailed! His driver license hasn't been updated since we moved and can't change it if he wanted to because we are living somewhere temporary and have no bills in his name. The Lady he originally talked to got his new address and said they will mail out the check to that address and should be here in 2 days. Fast forward a week later and still hasn't received his money. So he called and spoke to a Lady who "actually knows the policy." She basically was saying everything he was originally was told was a lie because they HAVE to send the check to whatever your licence says. HE DOESN'T EVEN LIVE THERE. So now we have to wait til it gets returned, which there's a possibility it won't even be returned. We would have NEVER came if we knew there was a 250$ cash limit (which he didnt even recieve that) Long story short, do NOT go here if you want to get scammed out of you're money.
  Update: the check suddenly was returned and had to get ID changed to receive payment. It was a headache just to get my money won't be coming back.

  After looking over some of the reviews I was braced for the worst, whatever that might be, but upon our arrival we were greeted with a smile by a Yard Dispatcher who asked what we had. After telling her I had an pool heater she directed me over to an area which I think she called the 'smalls area'. Again we were greeted by gentleman who was friendly, but extremely busy. He took the time to look over what I had and then proceeded to help me unload it. There was a first time voucher form I had to fill out but the entire transaction took 5, maybe 10 minutes. I had disassembled the entire heater into various sections, which may have made the process go smoother. I was then given a receipt & proceeded to the office where they took my receipt (along with my Driver's License) and processed it. The Cashier knew I was a first timer and again in more than a friendly manner walked me through the remaining process.
  As busy as they looked to me (and I overheard comments on how busy they were from those around me) it was quite quick & efficient.
  I would highly recommend 419 Metal-Auto to anyone, even if you're not a veteran scrapper like myself.

  I'm giving it 5 stars because of the guys at the scales the other ppl are rude but you only deal with them for a short time while they process your info and pay you. But besides them it's a great place.

  Like the other comments very rude for no reason.
  Called to ask and question, didn't really answer my question and hung up on me. Don't waste your time.

  The operator was very helpful! I asked many questions and they answered each one and her deaneamor was very polite. I would definitely recommend this place.
