We had a great experience. The lobster mac&cheese was amazing. The lump crab sandwich was tasty along with the French onion soup. Definitely a spot to return next trip!

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. The waiter was VERY RUDE ; it seemed pretty evident that he was not pleased to be serving a family, rather than, say, 4 adults. And to be fair, my two little ones were so well behaved, that there was no need for this upturned-nose behavior. My husband and I half-joked "are we back in France with the kids?" [Because all the restaurants we went to in France, even the "family friendly" ones, seemed to despise children and were so rude.] Then, the food took an HOUR to get to the table! An hour. I can assure you that we didn't order anything complicated. So at that point, the little ones were starving and it was late, and overall ruined my nice birthday dinner out.

Though I do have to add, that it seems to be a trend with Newport restaurants. We've been going to Newport for years, and have crossed a lot of places off our list due to extremely slow service [not only food coming out slowly, but having to ask for water, like 5 times before getting it, or asking three times for the check].
However, if you have, say 3 hours to just kill and wait around for food and drink, the food was quite good. We will not be going back though.

This place has it all. Delicious food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Service was smooth and food came out quickly. My fiance and I were celebrating our birthdays and soon to be wedding and the waitress gave us complimentary cake!! They go above and beyond. If it wasn't pricey I would go frequently, but you definitely get what you pay for!

Excellent atmosphere, food and service. My husband and I had a wonderful meal here when we got engaged in Newport 5 years ago. We came back with our 1 year to celebrate our anniversary this weekend. Aware that it was risky to bring a 1 year old to such a nice restaurant, we booked an early reservation and made sure children were allowed. Although she's well behaved, 2 hours can be long for any child, and our waitress went out of her way to help us keep her happy with toys, food, etc, so we could enjoy our wonderful meal. She and the manager continuously checked on us, and the wine list, appetizers, main courses and service were all 5 star. We almost never leave reviews, but this restaurant and especially our waitress were exceptional, and made our anniversary and memory of our first experience there 5 years ago very special.

Had the raw bar platter and tuna tar tar. The oysters were very tiny compared to many other places. The rest of the platter was delicious and the tuna was my favorite dish. The drinks are well made. We sat outside in their outdoor var area. Great people watching spot. This fills up quick so you might need to wait for a while to find a table or sit at the bar. Definitely will be back!
