Ottoman Muhteşem Süleyman as a memorial to his favorite son Şehzade Mehmed who was born 1521 and died in 1543 while returning to Istanbul after a victorious military campaign in Hungary Mehmed was the eldest son of Suleyman's only legal wife Hürrem Sultan.

Near to beyazit tramvaystation and also laleli ist univ metro station. So beautiful mosque but its not as crowded as sultanahmet mosque

Sehzade Mosque is Ottoman mosque located in Fatih District .Built by great architect Mimar Sinan and first masterpiece of classical architecture in 1548.

One of the historical mosques in the area and it's very calm and not very crowded. Also it's built by Mimar Sinan as many mosques in Istanbul are.
