Modern and very beautiful mosque..
Beautiful, easy access, friendly, helpful & informative staff
A beautiful, one of a kind mosque with a modern design. The architect was a woman, a first in Turkey. The chandelier in particular is amazing, like glowing raindrops. This is the mosque serving the adjacent cemetery, so there are frequently burial services in the courtyard. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Istanbul for more than a couple days and venture over to the Asian side of the city.
Modern style mosque with well-designed details.
It was the only mosque made by a woman architect in the Asian part of Istanbul and it looks soo different and soo magical
The Sakirin Mosque was built in memory of Ibrahim and Semiha Sakir by their children. The mosque’s name Sakirin, literal meaning in Arabic of “those who are thankful to Allah.” What makes this mosque unlike any other in the country is that the interior design team was led by a woman - Zeynep Fadıllıoğlu -who also happens to be Şakir's grand-niece.
Modern architecture but small mosque in Anatolian part of the Istanbul
Sakirin Cami is amazing mosque with it's modern architecture.
Nice mosque with a unique design. Worth seeing.
A different mosque. Local people say it's a gift of Mohamar Kadhaffi.
