The hostel was alright at best. It is clean and the people working there do their best to help you out. It's also in a very good location and well priced. However they overcharged me for my three night stay and I had left before I realised. Also as was mentioned before it is used as budget housing for Locals.

I just spent four nights at Chillax, and I have both positive and negative things to share.

My biggest complaint is that the hostel serves as low-income housing for a number of local Russians who live there on a semi-permanent basis. This made me uncomfortable.

The best things about Chillax are the rates, the cleanliness of the bathrooms and of the common room, the computer set-up, and 24-hour reception.

One minor issue is the discrepancy between the facilities advertised on Hostelworld and the facilities available. For example, there are no safe deposit boxes. Also, the lockers are not secure. One key opens multiple lockers. Lastly, the food that guests had left in plastic bags in the refrigerator, in the cupboards, and on the window sill really needed to be tossed. It seemed like some of the things had been there for too long.

It was such a pleasant stay! After the 4 months journey crossing Europe, we finally found the very comfortable and so clean hostel 'Chillax'. Especially I liked the kind staff there, they always try their best to help guests. Near to Metro stations and easy to find - it is not normal in Russia! If I go to Moscow again, I will definitely go to Chillax :) - Sorry for the late review, Anna, we arrived in Korea a week ago. You were our star, thank you once again!
