Smelly kitchen. People have left their utensils unwashed. Loses power supply regularly and wifi disconnects too.

Lock on the door didn't work properly, quite noisy, not enough blankets. Security was not very good. WiFi only worked on some devices, iPhones didn't connect. Good staff though.

Nice and clean bed room, very big and clean kitchen.

Big YHA with a lot of rooms. The bathroom is comunal (outside the bedroom). Kitchen and lounge also separated from the accomodation building so it's not too convenient during rains. Great location, not far from Rotorua I-Site.

It's usually very clean staying at a YHA and this time was no different. Unlimited free wifi and helpful staff with free items in the kitchen to use like oil and salt and pepper, what's not to love? Travelling around New Zealand I seek out YHA hostels to stay in. My only complaint thus time was the heat was up too high overnight.

Large, clean and full of good facilities, like a large kitchen and lots of showers. Felt a bit impersonal but good value for money. 5-10 minute walk to the I site. Bedroom got a bit hot and stuffy but beds were comfy. Large lockers in the rooms

Great location, walking distance to Rotorua Lake, Governement Garden and Park. Friendly staff, clean and spacious kitchen. Laundry available. Heating was not always on.

Clean backpacker place with a good equipped kitchen and nice receptionists. Can be a bit crowded at peak season. Limited parking available.

Probably one of the best places to stay in Rotorua because of the size of the facilities and how good it is. They have private rooms and dorms, several kitchens, patios and strong fast wi-fi across the property. It also has a parking lot which really comes in handy if you have a car or vehicle. It's in the centre of town and is just a short walk to the grocery store or a fast food place if that's what you are after.
