This is probably the worst experience I ever had at a pub/restaurant. concidering customer service is a major part of pub and restaurant management I would recommend sending the current manager on a refresher course as he was truly lacking in this perticular area.
Despite serving the incorrect drinks and discussing whether an American passport was legal or not (while not serving anyone else at the bar) for up to 10 minutes the staff remained unfriendly and seemed to want everyone to leave as soon as possible. To also add the beer was low quality and overpriced. Not recommended.
I don't wanna point someone out but the guy working (28/8 21.00) was lacking on everything when it comes to custom service. I have never been at a pub where I've been so badly treated. If I would be you reading this, I probably would save my money and go to any other bar around this area. Because this pub doesn't have anything that's appealing.response / report this review -

On the food and drink front you absolutely can't go wrong - always delicious food and never a bad brew under the 3 star label. What lets the place down is the table service - delivered a meal to the table under a tab but wouldn't let us order more drinks without going to the bar, and this was on a quiet Sunday lunch! Odd. Plus we sat at the table for 20min with menus open and no one took our order - little on the lazy side if you ask me!

Couldn't grasp making a vegan meal. It came out oily and salty (because obviously we like that flavour not). One staff member looked like she was in pain the whole time and needed to go home to rest. There was no music playing (in a pub) and it was real awkward. Too pricy for what it was. Only come here if you want a Speights.

Burger could only be cooked 'as is' which was well done. When I asked why, the bartender said the meat came from different parts of the animal and legally had to be cooked as such. This sounds like low quality and rather suspicious to me. The burger proved to taste average at best and the salad it came with was meager. Then, the dirty plates sat on our table for quite a while. If the experience cost about $10 less, I wouldn't be complaining. On the other hand, the Scottish bartender was very friendly, honest and informed, which I appreciated. Atmosphere's pretty chill and comfortable.

Great selection of beers although the food is not as good as it used to be (it had been 8 years since we were last here and the whole place has moved since then!) Go for beer but there are better food options in town.

Very disappointed!! Climbed mt Roy in the day was absolutely shattered looking for a big decent feed! Food was very average. Took over half an hour for the waiter to take our order when the restaurant was quiet. Also took 15 minutes for drinks to come when the car was empty.Ordered 2 chicken parcels only one came out they hardly apologised and said I would have to wait another 20 minutes for the other one. They didn't even care

Lovely setting but really disappointing food. Had the worst nachos, barely any beans, burnt tortillas, a block of cheese and a tub of sour cream. Disgusting. Would go for drinks again but pass on the food and eat elsewhere.
