This place is so great. It's dark and sexy. It has a covered outdoor area to smoke and drink. The tapas are bomb. The mains are excellent. And it is really reasonably priced. Definitely a locals joint that tourists need to know about.

Vivace is one of the few places I know that consistently has great service, great food and a great atmosphere in the past 20 plus years I've been going there. Tapas are delish and you'd be surprised how quickly you fill up. It's not too uptight but its not super casual either. Well presented people enjoying themselves without becoming annoying. I consider the food good value for money, they have a great wine list and bartenders who make a mean Dark and Stormy.

We went here last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What an amazing experience! The service is literally above and beyond, like even coming to get us from the car park cause we were lost lol. Aaron Maihi you and your team deliver on excellence. The food was delicious! We will definitely spread the word and be back my friend!

It is quite a nice place that is located in the upper levels on High Street. When you go up the stairs you end up in a large open loft with plenty of dining space and private rooms. We were greeted at the stairs and led to a table out in the balcony. Even though it was winter it wasn't very cold.
I thought they specialised in Italian food but the menu was a mix of everything. Ended up ordering the duck risotto and the lamb tagliatelle. The risotto was nice and flavourful, with the shallots giving it texture and taste. The lamb was a bit too tomatoey for my liking and the lamb was more mince than ragu. The flavours were nice though.
Good service and the food was nice. The place itself was also quite interesting.

Great choice of wine, friendly service and absolutely excellent food. When I make the trip back to New Zealand it will be to go back to Vivace Restaurant and enjoy the magnificent food again

Stunning !!! I arranged a work Christmas function here for around 35 people and the Team at Vivace were awesome. Really accomodating, and made us feel like VIP guests. The Mediterranean inspired food was divine. The Fillet Steak with Duck Fat potatoes was possibly one of the nicest plates of food I have sat down to in a number of years. A fantastic selection of wines which do start at a reasonable price for city dining and climb to astronomical highs for some of their finest vintage selections. A fantastic dining experience which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Thank you so much !!

Here a few times usually for group bookings or the use of their private dining rooms. Nice layout but food is getting worse overtime. Portion size is good which makes it up.

Very nice place to have romantic dinner. This is not another fancy restaurant, but rather very good ordinary place. Food is delicious, hot starter are great way to star dinner. Portions are not huge, so you'll have room for dessert :)

Me and my fiance visited Auckland and came across this restaurant as it was located near our hotel and positioned right in the city.
Hands down was the best Service we received in all of Auckland. Our waiter was so attentive and the food was amazing with such a warm atmosphere. Food choice was over whelming, wished we came here first rather then our last night. Highly recommended.
