Celebrated our daughter graduation dinner here last night and what great meals we all had. Devine lamb, pork, oysters, tiramisu, everything was yum. Special thanks to our waitress for putting up with our rowdy lot!! Would happily recommend and revisit !! Thank you!!

We celebrated my cousin's birthday here after a ridiculously stressful drive down from Auckland it was a relief to reach this oasis of calm. Saturday afternoon had me expecting further chaos in the form of a crowded, loud restaurant, but Victoria Street Bistro really nails its ambiance, very friendly staff, who manage to be attentive without being overly disruptive. They really went the extra mile to ensure that my cousin had a great time.
The food really was something special, we were a table of 9 and between us had a range of dishes, there was not a disappointed person amongst us and despite each enjoying our own meal, there was still plenty of food envy going around. Great place, would not hesitate to recommend or visit next time I'm in Hamilton.response / report this review -

Wonderful food in a very contemporary elegant setting. Service was excellent with staff that actually know about the food and wine. Call me old fashioned but I was even excited to see mains served simultaneously by three wait staff. Brilliant stuff.

Super pricey small meals. Quality though - good for a special occassion. Flat white was one of the best I've had. They dont give any change on vouchers used, nor a smaller voucher amount which was dissapointing as I would have gone back with the $40 change we would have had.

just moved back from Sydney Australia and partner is visiting from Slovakia
Drove 20 mins into town to visit this place because it had good internet reviews got there at 2pm only to be told by a worker that they were closed for the change over of dinner.
Internet site led me to believe open till 3pm .

Popped in with a friend for Chinese New Year Eve dinner. Had 3 courses: Roasted Pumpkin and Buffalo Ricotta Tortellini, Crispy Pork Hock, and Hummingbird Bombe Alaska. First two were recommendations of our lovely waitress - all 3 courses were simply divine. Excellent service too. Will definitely be back there soon ☺
