Nice pub, but they've dropped their $12 lunches which sucks. Lovely beer garden though. Beer is a bit pricey and you do have to put up with the sports, Sadly they've lost points since they lost their fixed price lunch menu :(

Loved this place as soon as we walked in - live music and a warm comfortable space to be in even when quite busy. Exceptional service. Couldn't decide on two mains so we got 4x smaller meals (lamb cutlets, crumbed chicken, pork belly, calimari). All were exceptionally tasty, but the pork belly blew our mind. All round incredible experience.

We turned up on Sunday night with 7 pre teens an 4 adults out of the blue and the Helm Bar and Kitchen produced an awesome selection of tasty and satisfying food we all enjoyed. Especially the Apple and blueberry wantons. Yummy! Thanks for taking care of our boys from South Canterbury

Great place to come for lunch and even better place to meet for drinks, bar snacks or dinner. Live music is really good without interfering with your conversations. Pizza is amazing.

Great pub. $12 lunches are awesome. Lovely beer garden. Beer is a bit pricey and you do have to put up with the sports but all in all, highly recommend for great weekday lunches.

I went out to find a steak. A random person I asked said they had a steak here and gave directions. It was a great steak. Cooked properly, served with a smile & fresh vegetables. Yum.

The ideal spot in summer. The atmosphere is a country style feeling indoors. Outside under the large trees enjoying a few drinks and lunch is relaxing and spacious. Good for taking the whole family. Realistic prices.

The dumplings were the best I've had! Excellent, prompt and friendly service, in a nice atmosphere. Sundays from 3pm they do $5 pizza and live music, great way to end a weekend.

I have been here before and the same thing occurs all the time. Staff need to smile alot more & be abit more friendly. Nice place to go to after work for drinks and for a catch up with friends. ok music & reasonably fast service but come on staff. A smile will go along way!!

Been here a few times. Food is really good and the staff treat you well. Went out with some friends and one of our orders were stuffed up so the chef gave one of the meals on the house. Live music which is always good.

Would recommend to all!! 😊😊👌

Nice food, service VERY poor unfortunately. Once mains brought to table, no further input re drinks, desert or coffees. We were a large group celebrating our work Xmas gathering. Probably not return. Manager was made aware, no apology.
