Great food & quiet. Great place to eat with friends and talk. Like a formal hotel atmosphere, not the cheapest but enjoyable.

Came here after buying a voucher on Groupon. Food was good but the mains were brought out lukewarm. Five mins later and the mains were cold. As we had already eaten soup & an entree we hoped we could have the rest to take home. After requesting a take away container, the waiter returned from the kitchen to announce the chef would not allow this as we had gotten a deal on Groupon. This is ridiculous. I wonder if i could have offered money to take home our half eaten meal? My wife and I eat out a lot and had been meaning to try here for a while. Its a real shame we left with such a sour taste in our mouth as we would have been back plenty had we had a good experience. Thumbs down to The Mustard Seed. I do not recommend this place!

Had a unforgettably delightful dining experience at The Mustard Seed restaurant.
I went there with other group of 10 friends for my friend's birthday dinner.
The place is spacious enough to serve many patrons and at the same time, it gives such a warm and welcoming atmosphere whilst dinning.
Food was delicious. We had ordered 10 different dishes and none of them have dissapointed people in our tables, of course including me.
Staffs and a manager are very kind and welcoming, served us to their best.
The price was very reasonable for this amazing dinning experience.
I would love to recommend this place to anyone who is eager to taste authentic Malaysian food within the central Auckland city.response / report this review -

Excellent eating at this restaurant.
We chose this place as we had bought a Grab One voucher. The service was excellent and the food very tasty.
Highlights were the satay chicken kebab starter and the whole snapper in tamarind sauce (the best fish I have ever eaten).
Will go back to this place if I am ever in Auckland.response / report this review
