Love this place. Such delicious food but also if you're just in for a quick coffee and muffin it is my top choice in the city. They even make an incredible decaf coffee which is extremely hard to find.

The food here isn't good enough to justify its price especially given the lack of table service. It also tends to get very loud here as soon as a small crowd gathers.

Great food and a nice selection of drinks. I recommend their chocolate cake. The restaurant itself has a warm, Mediterranean feel.

Wonderful place great location and nice view of city streets great for people watching and food delicious and made with tender loving care. Well presented and beautifully flavoured these cooks go the extra mile. Lovely atmosphere will visit again a new favs place highly recommend.

Incredible place. I'd only ever been here on cold Sunday mornings for a soup and Turkish bread, which was also delicious. Last night was my first time at night and the vibe was great, Josh on the decks playing vinyl, awesome tunes, perfect volume. Food was amazing, especially the fish in coconut tapas. Service was great. Can't fault it. In my top 5 in Auckland! Thanks.

Great atmosphere and food. Favourites were the warm and flavourful lentil soup with Turkish bread (YUM) and the delicious chocolate cakes. Drinks are beautiful. Just a great place!!!

The food, the ambience, as well as the service at Mezze Bar are well above average, not to mention the central location. I love the idea of tapas and shared plates - The food experience is much more enjoyable and varied that way - and topped with a glass of wine at a candle-light table makes it great not just for couples but also groups of friends wanting to have a pleasant night of interesting conversation.
I have a different view on the sangrias from the other reviewers though - I didn't like it. Sangria is fruit soaked in hard liquor and then poured into wine, and diluted with a lemon fizzy, not fruit dunked into a glass of wine. A letdown. One of my favourite tapas and sangria bars in Auckland. It's an absolute gem hidden away in a quaint location. I'd work my way through the menu and to wash it down either a jug of sangria or my personal favourite their Ginger Mojitos. Great place for dates or groups. Been personally going here for the past 8 years.
If you're struggling for parking on high street, I'd recommend the Victoria Street carpark.response / report this review
